No singers has ever brought me not only chills and goosebumps, but can make me cry at the same time... only Charice. So I consider Charice as THE ONLY FILIPINO WHO CAN SING. Forgive me for having an incredibly and insanely higher standard. I was a fanatic of other singers as well but when I saw her singing, all singers I admired before just wiped out in my list. They are way far below her level. It's not just belting, it's not just heating highest note in the whole world. The heart must be there... The soul must be there. It's like every song she covered from way back when she was starting were actually written for her. I don't care if she is now a member of LGBT... She brought the highest pride and honour in our country like no other singers ever did. It's time for her to choose whatever path she wants. She deserved that freedom. Back when she was starting until the day she became famous and up to now, the only critics she have are her fellow filipinos also who thinks and judge as if they are much more higher than God.

Charice is a better vocalist than all the names mentioned in the video. She's a professional. The first Filipino to be known international. Also the first Asian to be on the top 5 on the billboard award! Love her voice and the clarity of the voice. One of the best vocalist in this generations period!

She was featured also on a tv show called GLEE. She also had concerts with DAVID FOSTER etc. 😇
I really like your reaction abt her performance. I think she's better than other vocalist of her generation because she really know how to deliver the song and do justice to the song. I suggest you watch her performance of Listen at the After Oscar Party. She's really amazing.

The stage crew stopped working to watch her. The other participants sat, watched, listened to Charice then applauded at the end. This was a rehearsal. She knows her music in that she jumped to the right point when the band altered the music.

Charice Pempengco is also a product of a singing competition called "little big star". She started singing at an early age and was taught by her mom. She did get the spotlight on the early stages of her career but thank God she got her break at last. Charice is also a lyric soprano which ability to belt out high notes. Her vocal agility is also not a question.
She is 5' 1 and 105 lbs. and able to produce this kind of power. Unbelievable!

I think mine is an unpopular opinion but 4th Impact is not vocal perfection, they are like kid Whitneys and Mariahs, from their first auditions on the talent show I heard lots of imperfections and a lot of "winging it", just not rounded or refined but with ability to reach notes and have decent voices. Hard to find anyone who agrees with me haha but I do see some comments with similar sentiment. Makes me wonder if my ears are too sensitive or something. Charice on the other hand has a much powerful voice, well-roundedness and refined control compared to even Beyonce if you watch Beyonce's performance where her voice thins out, becomes shaky, standing still. You will understand if you watch Charice's All By Myself with David Foster and One Moment In Time on a korean variety show. The control, power and emotions are immense and very clean singing.

Hey Dan, you just had another subscriber. There are a lot of reactors in youtube but it is you who connects to what you are reacting to. Sometimes people would just see the high notes and that the artist is pretty but more than that you are a person who sees through that and finds that connection - if you know what I mean. Regine Velasquez is labelled the Asias Song Bird by winning the Asia Pacific Singing competition in the 80's. She is a lyric soprano with a ton of skills in holding and hitting high notes. Remember the video that you reacted to - she is not feeling well that time, but to challenge herself she sang the song in a sitting position which means suicide for singers.
Darren Espanto is a product the voice Philippines. Darren is one of the most adorable singers but apart from that his belting power sets the standard. He is FilCanadian.
