Hey - just changed to M&KB and it's a big learning curve. I see most people like yourself play with low sensitivity in game. I find I can't even turn at that sensitivity! What DPI do you play at please?

Love the videos Jack. I can remember downloading the latest DOD/CS zip update files and installing manually before Steam. I also can remember installing 3rd party gun skins which destroyed my 900 MHz AMD Athlon processor.
To be perfectly honest, if you hadn't mentioned the higher graphics I probably wouldn't have noticed, so I'd say stick to whatever feels better to you when playing. I think most people would rather see you being able to play at your best with low input lag than see the game having slightly better ambient occlusion or whatever, especially since most people probably aren't watching in fullscreen at the kind of video quality where they can tell the difference in the first place (as long as it's not the absolute lowest settings).
I also loved the Kar98k in DoD btw, and now that you mention it it's hard to think of a game that has managed to replicate its feel since then! That era of FPS games definitely had a lot of game design gems like that (even though it was slightly OP), which seem to be getting forgotten about more and more these days, so I can relate to your quest of finding a good substitute :)
a tip for anyone who wants to use the gun with the build, instead of the laser take the bolt that increases fire rate, makes the gun even more insane.
That would be better for hardscoping but if ur quick scoping laser is a better build the fire rate is quick enough already.
Need the laser unless you don’t quick scope and hard scope everything.

This gun is peak "game logic" it fires the exact same round as a normal AK, but cause it's bolt action it does more damage 😂
Unfortunately, game balance exists. It doesn’t always make for the most realistic guns

technically, you can get a little more fps from a bolt gun as all the gas is spent pushing the bullet, instead of losing some to the gas tube/bolt. The one time cod actually kind of gets it right lol

I personally like watching the vids with high graphics but I think if you'd like smart concessions can be made. Digital foundry's MW1 PC vid still holds up if you're looking for best bang for buck graphics settings. I personally put voulumetrics on low, particle res low, screen space shadows low, screen space reflections normal, shadows high, and tessallation near, and deferred physics low. With everything else maxed but DOF and both motion blurs off. Imo this puts a decent load off GPU for better input lag with negligible impact to visuals. Also thanks for the vid, hope this sniper rocks in warzone, love that steelseries mat myself, and i'd watch you even on potato settings 😅

You summed up the answer the vast majority of people are giving to your question about graphics settings perfectly in the video, for an online competitive performance based game like COD graphics aren't the biggest concern but for other more visual games it is obviously important, you have a good intuition you should carry on to trust it and follow it
That sniper rifle reminds me of the Balista with iron sights from Black ops 2. It was nerfed so much after its debute but it can still manage to one shot consistently. A truly great weapon if in the right hands.

As a viewer I appreciate being able to watch your videos knowing your playing the game to the max specs. Obviously having some videos when you’re focused on performance I wouldn’t mind at all! I just appreciate your videos for the commentary and visuals, not necessarily the skill.
Love that you mentioned Day of Defeat. While I did play it, Day of Defeat : Source was where I truly fell in love with the FPS. Especially with those custom orange maps. Would be great to see you play that.

That killstreak at the end was suuuuuuper satisfying to watch! Graphics; singleplayer games are worth taking the hit for, make them look as good as they can on the rig you have, but honestly for multiplayer its gotta be a frames/resolution priority, with pretty stuff pushed up enough that it isn't pulling down the FPS :)

As others have said with the graphics, I personally don’t notice the change that often. I normally watch videos on my phone or iPad so the bigger thing I notice is the lower bitrate from RUclips. I’m not sure how you’re encoding but typically with the iPad I can see more pixelation despite a 1080p resolution on the video. I know LTT has gone into it but perhaps a intel ARC card would be good for encoding

Answering the game quality question::: I really like that you most of your gameplays are ultra high quality. I one of those guys like really enjoy in watching the maximum available details let by the developers. And, besides your candor and honest comentary, the high quality vissuals are the things that I enjoy the most about your channel. Love u Bro, keep doing maxed quality vids pls.
I use a gun cleaning mat as a mousepad. Same thing, just much bigger for cleaning rifles with a diagram of an exploded AR15 and the parts all labeled.

as soon as you said DoD it gave me ptsd flash backs. I played cal-i dod for so long. was my first hardcord comp fps game i played. would play 10+ hours a day on just that game.

If you have the Orbiter blueprint from MW2 you can use it on the long barrel to make it appear shorter and take up less space on the screen.

I dont know. I like seeing the higher quality graphics as long as it doesn’t negatively affect your gameplay. But I’ve never had a complaint with the graphics on your content.

I use this gun in Zombies and it’s insane, when pack-a-punched fires 2 bullets at a time. So much fun!
Pretty sure if you throw a grenade when trying to get 3 kills with one mag, it resets when you throw something.

I definitely didn't notice a different in grafics from this video compared to the last one. Typically I don't think it really changes much. Like you said as long as it doesn't look completely like a potato play with whatever settings will give you a good feel and help you make good gameplay.

Hey, nice video. For me, running 6700XT on 1440p on Maximum graphics I get 95-110 fps; on the Balanced settings I get 100-120 fps, depending on the game mode and map. The differences are slim. This is a huge improvement over the MW2 which was terribly optimized.
I suggest to look at humus thunder real quick with the hollow laser sight that he has on it which frees up a slot for another attachment.
I didn't even notice the difference of graphics. Maybe in single player games or when you try to show something you can play on ultra, yes, but on multiplayer just run with what you like, be it low-medium-high. I find that medium doesnt really lower my performance but it just makes the things look a bit nicer, would recommend

Graphic setting doesn’t matter much to me. But I do really like when you upload videos where you play with no hud. Has a more cinematic quality. Would be fun to see you and the boys all playing that way together.

The end of the game doesn't show your k/d but if you open the scoreboard and toggle past the map screen you can see all your detailed stats for the match

Single player is a nice place to show off the highend for others who can't possibly achieve and multiple player i dont mind low to med high graphics but not top of the line. Just here mostly for the conversation and fun clips or high competition clips 😊
