Now that JJ Abrams Constantine is cancelled and Keanu Reeves Sequel being most likely an elseworlds story I don’t see why Matt Ryan can’t be our Constantine in James Gunn’s DCU. He’s perfect and I think James Gunn is aware of how many people love Matt Ryan’s portrayal.

I was obsessed with Constantine the movie when it came out. Keanu is an amazing actor. HOWEVER! Matt Ryan is John Constantine. Everyone else pales to his abilities. Plus the fact that his eyes actually sparkle naturally with Welsh magic makes him the only person that makes sense.
It would interesting if Keanu Reeves version of John Constantine and Matt Ryan John Constantine meet each other and have a multiversal movie crossover, similar to how Tobey Maguire's Spiderman meeting Andrew Garfield Spiderman and Tom Holland Spiderman meeting each other in Spiderman No Way Home.
The biggest frustration is that they didn't give Constantine/Ryan a Zatanna, that's the Wesh actor really wanted but was denied by stupid producers who don't read comics There is a possibility that Zatanna will be includes in the sequel Constantine 2 and Ana de Armas is the best choice as Zatanna, she has much more chemistry with Constantine/Reeves

Keanues version didn't even feel like a dc movie in any way. Is there any update about who will play Constantine in the next adaption? I read that Warner Bros has been developing a big screen version with Francis Lawrence (director of the first Constantine movie) and Keanu Reeves. I never read anything about HBO version. I'm disappointed because I really really really want Matt Ryan to be Constantine both in big and small screen😢
Matt Ryan played some horrible John Constantine parts but I don't blame him inherently for the bad scripts but because the producers of the show had their hands on a JohnZee they could have given him from day one but STUPIDLY didn't makes

The actions the speech the persona all prefect and no one will beat him. And tbh I thought keanue as good as he is didn't play this character well in any way I actually thought he was crap. Mean when I first watched keanues version I couldn't link him with the dc character except for the magic and spells the rest was crap. Unlike matt Ryan's version

I am a Keanu Reeves fan. But Matt Ryan is the best casting choice for Constantine. He checks all the boxes to fit the character best.
