It's nuts how big she is . In the other enclosures you really couldn't judge her size . Time really does fly . It's insane how she's gone from fitting in your hand to being bigger than your arm . You guys have done a awesome job with the enclosure.
Thank you!
With pathos they grow better and faster when they have something to climb on so that plant will be huge in no time. Can’t wait to see and update.
Hey Kenan, at 11:40.. there is a HUGE frog in the top corner of the cage behind you! 😂 it moves at 12:35. I paused to leave this comment.. so maybe you find it at some point in this video.. if not, hopefully that isn’t a toxic creature, assuming she will eventually find it herself!
It’s an invasive Cuban Treefrog (not-toxic.)
Will that point on the screw in her box won’t hurt her👍👍👍
When you guys are hanging the plant w the zip ties and are almost done hanging it using the second zip tie behind kenan on the inside of the habitat there’s some pretty medium/big brown lizard or frog crawling across the wiring of the cage inside w y’all. I thought it was inky at first but she was in her log and is black. Lmk if you go back to receive the footage and can tell what it was. I can’t believe yall didn’t notice it I surely thought matt would have seen it behind you.
I have been a fan for a while but I do have to say, the banter between Kenan & Matt has added so much to the already great content. Great job guys, looks awesome.
Watching you and Matt work & interact is almost as good as watching the animals! I've seen Jerry Wolfe's building structures--which is awesome. But I get the most laughs out of you two!
Thanks!
So well said ! These two young men crack me up while lifting my heart !
Kenan & Matt =
Groundskeeper Willie & Sideshow Bob
*Oof* 😂
Right 😂 just crack me up. There such cool guys
Kenan, 33:45 when you open the lid you can see a screw that went through the lid and is protruding out the other side. Just letting you know so Inky doesn’t get stabbed by it. Great job though, looks incredible!
When you're hanging the pothos you can see a frog climbing in the upper right hand corner. I hope it's not a poisonous one for her! The enclosure looks amazing! She's grown so much! My favorite videos or new enclosure videos! ❤
Thanks for the info!
@@KampKenanim glad you decided to use "pothos" vine plant as a hide vegetation for Inky!! Its a good call 😅🤙🏼 reference to you having the same plant in old Solomon and El Diabla enclosures. I miss them terribly 😢,i genuinely do.
They wasnt the most handleable tight of lizards(for those are going to read this comment, they were solomon island or long island skinks) i pray 🙏🏼🥺 one day, youll be featuring a wide variety of different skink set ups from Spiny tailed, Monkey tailed and blue tongue giant skinks 🦎..
Kudos and thanks for all you do big brother 🫢🙌🏼👊🏼 🙏🏼
Really enjoying the shows with you and Matt. Both of you have a fantastic sense of humour and the more time you spend together the funnier you are. 😅
Glad you enjoy it!
Bravo!
A beautifully designed enclosure accompanied with witty and funny banter and great visuals.
When you were deciding to use the Artificial Rock, the immortal words of Emperor Palpatine came to mind:
DO IT!
You two were on fire this time, LOL. Peak banter. You guys have great energy together. I myself grew up with the San Diego Zoo and I agree definitely- building them their little worlds and enriching em is a huge part of the fun of reptiles, always something new to be developing or growing or building. It's having a tiny zoo, and getting to see the critters entertained and engaging with their environment. It's especially fun to see what you do because we work at opposite scales of size! My largest enclosure for my own zoo is a 4x2 (ball python) and the smallest is 4inch x 8 inch (jumping spider!) The other tanks are basically ten-gallons. I'm doing the dollhouse version of enclosure building!
Great job guys. It's so much cheaper doing this yourself. That water bowl/ pool are $370 in Australia. But well worth it 👌. The Australian monitors are crazy aspecially when your camping. They'll raid your camp groundd for food at night. Its amazing how you can tame down this gorgeous creature. It's men like Kennan who show us, how you can create a beautiful enclosure. For a lot cheaper than hiring a professional builder. That would cost a fortune. I've seen some massive Australian water monitors, they grow huge.
I would like to recommend a plexiglass window in the top of Inkys box with a black rubber flap. That way, you can look on the box to check on her without having to open the lid. Just a thought. Genius really! Lol😂
Wonderful video, loads of Inky action. Gorgeous cage👍thanks
Hey kenan try using a utility blade that roofers use, it has a hook on the end , instead of a straight blade, cut shingles like butter 👌🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I love to see inky growing up where she belongs and love her new home and im laughing my behind off with your sillyness 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Love it !
I live how the new enclosure came out and I'm sure Inky will too. Great job!
guys the zip ties wont last with the heat you have to figure some thing thats more permanent the ties will dry out and the plant will be on the floor. you guys are making me laugh today. And Kenan the joke about putting the kids in the new cage cracked me up. Also you should get longer screws for that last branch that wont hold when inky climbs on it. The bamboo shade you should measure where you want it and cut it on the ground first and then place the it on the roof. just a thought for future cages. Just a though here the hide isnt to small when Inky is grown or is she full grown. You have to think of the future so you only have to do it once
Should try pair slinky with one of your friends big female water monitor
I love when you are both doing videos as you can feel how much fun you two are having! It’s like just watching two best friends having the time of their lives 🥰
Yay! Thank you!
Well done Kenan and Matt! This is an epic enclosure.
Lol Kenan says 'Matt keep the camera still'.... Matt keeps the camera still for 30 seconds 😆
Feild of dreams is so much more than a baseball movie.
absolutely correct Brenda!
I finally realized what this was reminding me of.... " The hanging gardens of Babylon" . One of the seven wonders of he ancient world ! And now Inky has this multi-level palace with dripping waterfalls and a totally secure, subterranean sleeping chamber. Her majesty has arrived !
Cant believe Matt didnt notice the huge frog! He's usually an eagle eye 🤣💜🦖
Yes! Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed the big ol frog climbing the cage lol
@@higoodbye7545 haha, yeah I pointed and yelled at them like they could hear me 😂😂
Think we need to get Mr Kenan a hole saw
"Today, on Tool-Time Kenan...!"
...Matt laughs insolently at Kenan and earns a demerit and additional training...
*Get the whip* 😮 😂
All that freedom...Outside of the cage😢😢...Still trapped...🥺🥺
Looks amazing. It really looks good guys great job! Im sure Inky will enjoy the new enclosure for long time
Awesome cage. The only thing I don't like much is the pothos. I think it kinda obscures a lot of the place.
The enclosure is sick. you should use a reciprocating saw " sawzall " to cut universal rock instead of a knife it would save you a ton of time :)
That’s a big frog 11:43
I think there is a screw slightly out in the hide box. LOVE the episode. Gives me great ideas when I am able to get more reptiles!
@11:56 that a frog in the top right corner xD Also when the door was slight open I was just stressing at the thought of her making a break for it. Its been amazing seeing Kenan and Matt work together, they are such a fun duo of friends
Looks like a few screws went threw the lid you might want to trim them so she doesn’t get all cut up.
Edit:
At 34:00 I saw a couple poking threw
I really needed something light and easy to distract myself today. This was pleasantly helpful.
Wow Looks amazing best hide ever you two are way too funny ..love it love the cage looks amazing thanks so very much going to be nice and warm in there for sure woohoo inky went in thanks Kenan
She looks like she found her spot on that log above her water feature behind her plant.
Beautiful.
Public comment was added to the comment section of this video. Just for the engagement.
Don’t try touching her when she is that stressed.
Will set you back.
Would an angle grinder work to cut the Universal Rock?
Nice house for Inky. I'm sure she'll enjoy it as long the humans stay out.
Every build gets better and better. So much fun.
great job on that enclosure, would be a bit weary about that screws going threw the top of the hide and the tip could hurt her. ;)
There was a cane toad in there at 12:07 on the right. Be sure to get that out I don’t want Inky to eat it‼️
Lovely job, Inky is looking so happy now. Did anyone else notice the large frog? :-)
HERES A SOLUTION FOR NEXT TIME TO COVER THE MAIN SUPPORT..... GO IN YOUR WOODS CUT A 6 INCH LOG AND JUST RUN IT OVER YOUR TABLE SAW TO CUT A CHANNEL THEN SLIDE IT OVER THE SUPPORT AND TO COVER THE CHANNEL JUST CUT ANOTHER THIN LOG/BRANCH AND GLUE IT IN THE CHANNEL
love it, thanks Eddie!
instead of the universal rock, I would put some sort of glue on top of her box, then cover it with the mulch so it sticks to it, keeps in with her enclosure
Inkys' new digs came out great 👍
You both make me laugh. Your a great comedy duo. Here in Northern Ireland we would call you an Eejit lol. Enclosure looks fab
I think I will adopt that spelling !!!
Hey Kenan, did you happen to notice that big toad climbing in her enclosure? Look at 12:22 to the right of screen. You'll see it back there..I was only bringing it up because I know cane toads are all over down there and they will kill anything that bites it. I've watched some shows and seen the devastation in Australia due to those nasty things. I hope it's not a cane toads and if so is gone out of her enclosure. Take care dude!
Good call !
I saw a nail that went threw the door of the hide box you might need to cut
There is a big frog on the back wall that came in with the plant at 10:38
You and Matt are very creative when building enclosures for your animals. I took a 100 gallon Rubbermaid cattle tank and built an outdoor enclosure for my five lined skinks and my 2 American toads. I planted a bunch of strawberries and other plants like violets and creeping Charlie vines in the enclosure. Being in Maryland where it gets cold I have to use cold tolerant plants that go dormant in the winter and come back in the spring. It's awesome that you and Matt are such great friends and have common interests. My 14 year old nephew is interested in reptiles also and watches your videos. I've been watching for several years now and got the idea to set up an outdoor enclosure for my skinks from you. Ever since I've done that they have been breeding successfully for the past several years. I release a lot of their babies on my property in a rock pile. I can't keep them all. I particularly can't have too many males because they do fight sometimes.
I loved this long episode, i really enjoy the longer videos you, Matt and Tom put out plus what Jerry and Tom do on his channel. Always informative, educational plus yourselves and Jerry always make it easy to understand for us who don't have reptiles but are trying to educate ourselves ready for a future new family member (even though some of us will not have the room for the bigger reptiles). You and Matt did a great job on Inky's new home. I made myself giggle just thinking of Inky of her log shouting out orders of what she wanted and where she wanted it. 😂 Lastly i promise I'd love to spend a day working with you and Matt, you both seem to have so much fun working together, you bounce off of each other when it comes to banter and your dynamics really work on camera. If you guys have this much on camera I'd love to see you both off camera, you must have a blast each and every time.
It's true, we do have a great time on and off camera. And yes Inky was speaking to us ordering the details of her enclosure telepathically lol!
Great video! I'm glad you stuck with helping her find her hide box. The monitors are definitely my favorite.
How much coffee did you good have before filming this? 😅😅
Love you and all the four-legged babies.
haha, I don't drink coffee believe it or not!
Crazy, I know, but Kenan swears he "does not drink Coffee" ! Impressive ... and also kind'a scary !
These are my absolute favorite videos. I've been such a big fan for years now. Love what you guys do!
How do you keep the ants and spiders out of her box? Or will they bother her?
Love watching you guys work together and what you create?
They won't "bug" her :)
Thanks! 😂
Can't believe how satisfying I find these videos instead of doing my housework 😂 ❤❤
What’s going on with pinky? Is she coming back?
Not at the moment. We did an update with her not too long ago!
Just love her new enclosure. It just keeps getting better and better!
Thanks Deb!
It looking so great
Amazing 🤩
I like it
The banter between you and Matt, I swear just gets better with age, just like miss Inky. You two are hilarious. 😂🤣 This made my evening. Welcome home Inks!
Very nice recycelt enclosure. Love Inky❤ Wishes from my egyptian farm 🎉
That enclosure is awesome!
I've always thought I'd have some reptiles of my own one day, once I was done working overseas, but I've recently been diagnosed with some serious medical crap with no real positive prognosis (at least not yet but 🤞🏻) ... so you're videos will have to continue to reptile fix 😂
I am so sorry.... but I am also so grateful that there is a Kamp Kenan out there for those of us who need the vicarious way to enjoy these critters. 💚
I'm no expert so my recommendations are just another idea that COULD WORK.... the tube you foamed into the box works fine but for future heres another idea before foaming.... stick the tube through the hole and cut 3 or 4 slices in the end about 2 inches long and bend them over like a flange so you can screw them into the inside of the box them foam if you want but the tube WILL NEVER COME OUT OR OFF! BEAUTIFUL HOME FOR INKY
Thank you for such an awesome channel, love seeing the reptiles in their natural environments. As will as seeing Kenan and Matt interact with each other, it makes my day 😄
This enclosure is probably my second favourite next to Slinkys (clearly!).. shes looking amazing..think her and my Genghis are about same size now.. what age is she now?? Great job, my reptile Brother.much love and respect to you
My favorite days are the ones that start with Kenan! Sweatshirts yet?? 🙏🏻
The new secret store will be revealed to Patreon and KK members this week Maryann. I think you will be very very happy! :)
When it rains won't the tube fill with water?
We've built these before. The cave top does a good job of keeping it dry and the entire floor is well above ground level
Kenan! Field of Dreams isn't REALLY a baseball movie. Its absolutely brilliant and even if you DESPISED the sport of baseball, I am certain you'd see a great deal of value in the story.
Beautiful enclosure 💗 ... except whenever I see Kenan using a kitchen knife to cut things, I always wonder what Kate thinks about that?? Bahahaha 💗😘🦎 But tbh, Chris at Garden State Tortoise has mentioned a good knife he uses. You may want to ask him about it? Also, what about making an Amazon wish list?
Hey Keenan. You and Matt ain't right. Ya'll make a great team. Also Matt my wife and myself was in Cancun, Mexico in 2013 and we saw all kinds of big Iguanas. So I know what you are saying. Man they were big and gorgeous.
Love your shows and your beautiful reptiles but your carpentry prowess makes me wince... 😂
you two sound like a married couple sometimes.I LOVE YOU TWO
Really enjoy the videos Kenan. When Inky whipped the chick out of your hand, that was hilarious. Had to replay like 4 times 😂😂.
She whipped that chick right out of your hand! Indiana Jones-level skill! LOL
Hello good morning Kenan and Matt, an oscillating tool will work perfectly and quickly to cut the universal rock, guaranteed fellows to cut your time by half or more. Give it a try, can pick one up at your local hardware store for about $30, if I were closer I would donate one to the camp, Unfortunately I am in the North.
Great build, Keep it up fellas!
Nice upgrade for lil Miss midnight dragon. I would try using tin snips, jig saw, or a sawsall on the faux rock stuff (or a Dremel).
OMG! She slapped that chick out of your hand with a tail whip!!! Inky is the coolest little girl lizard there is!🤣😂🤣♥️
Man, it makes sense why those hypermelanistic AWM (and other reptiles honestly) have some success in the wild - they are damn near invisible! Lol. Do you plan on a biggest water tank? I know you like the natural look so it may be harder/more expensive, but that may get her feeling more secure and easier to work with.
I love the cage and the box. But, I can't believe you haven't seen Field of Dreams. It's not a baseball movie. It loosely wraps the movie around baseball lore. But, it isn't a baseball movie. You don't have to know anything about baseball and you're still going to easily understand and love this movie. Just watch it.
LOLOL!!! Inky came out of that log hissing and tail whipping! I love her so much 😂🤣
I really enjoy seeing you repurpose so many things. It really shows your creativity, and lets people know that they don't have to spend a ton of money to create a large and beautiful enclosure.
👌🏻👍🏻 COOL enclosure! Sara from South Africa🇿🇦
Hello Kenan love how Inky enclosure came out watch the first video I love watching this type of videos very educational by the way can you use great stuff insulation spray foam to hold secure the wood together and cover the rest of the pole carve then paint to make blend in with the rest just an idea I love watching enclosures built gives me ideas when I’m building minds I’m working on 2 enclosures I built now getting the inside background finished 4x2x2
Like always wonderful videos can’t wait to get that notification Kamp Kenan uploaded a new video
Kamp Kenan taking You-TUBE very literally in this episode!
Pick up a pair of a vinyl siding shears for cutting your fake rock
Yes!
Make sure you get the 6" with replaceable blades so you can just get new blades when they dull or sharpen them
I really enjoyed watching you fix up her cage. ❤❤ I can’t wait to see more from you. Your Arnold imitation is spot on I loved it 🥰😁
That is the first time I've heard anyone pronounce it as Robinson "Caruso". It looks great, maybe more cover would ease him into it.
Matt, my dude, you do a great job with filming you really do! But when you have a nervous lizard or monitor or any animal in that fact, and you’re told not to move …. Please don’t move even the slightest movement of getting a better camera angle can change the monitors temperament, can break threads of trust Kenan is trying to build and put the two of you in harms way. I hope I can speak for all of us, and say that camera angles can be sacrificed during certain situations where it holds the animals, best interest and your safety in mind, keep up the good work because you really are doing a great job. Just maybe keep this in mind.😊
Just incase you didn't notice. There was a screw sticking through the bottom of the lid
I'm only part way through the video so sorry if this gets addressed later on, but I hope thats just a big non toxic treefrog climbing in the background and not a toad.
I noticed it at about 10:30 when Kenan brings in the pothos and at about 12:40 you can see it moving across the bars.
I ran over at least a 7 foot black headed python,on a dark night road with no lights. I didn't see it in Queensland, Australia. I took it to the vets cause was 5cm over its tail, and I bet in pain. Yes, I got bit twice and walked in the vets with blood all over me 😂. The secretary was shocked 😲
Kenan, no shame intended, but you could use some more tutoring from Jerry specifically on fastener use. A deck screw, after you drilled the post with the self tapping screw, will bite into wood with its non-drilling tip much better. Its better with wood to squeeze the wood between two end points, like a carriage bolt, than to rely on the screw threads to maintain hold through shrink and swell cycles. Screws will last for a number of years dont get me wrong, but deck support beams are bolted rather than screwed for this reason. The pothos wants to grow up plant it in the ground and stuff some palm trunk pieces or yucca roots into the crevices of the center post so it holds some water. The pothos will set anchor roots into the yucca/palm and grow bigger leaves as it climbs.
Kenan, you should team up with Custome Cages, or some other reptile enclosure company, and design some enclosures for them, they can call them the Kenena edition enclosures. they'd probably sell like hotcakes.
Hey, how about heavy rain, wouldn't the water accumulate inside the box?
I love the chemistry!
Absolutely ! These two young men crack me up while lifting my heart !
