"I have the couch and that's all I need" ~ my sentiment exactly! Which is why in the THoW I'm designing (and hope to start building early next year), I'm only having a bed /couch: saves space and weight, plus I want to avoid climbing ladders.
What an amazing parent! Being raised by my father alone, I feel a level of respect that goes beyond words for this gentleman. Happy family living in a beautiful home where children's needs come first. I'm most impressed ❤
I remember when his ex wife explained this tiny years ago.:/ their design made me consider gooseneck for the first time . Happy to see the 3 of them are still loving and enjoying this home
That was an amazing use of space. What a top notch build. That’s what I’d want just make the work room into a small shop for my tools and equipment. But perfect.
As a parent of a teen and two pre-teens, every time I see a Tiny House with kids, I always wonder how things will go when they hit puberty? I've never seen a Tiny House with adults and a couple teenagers living comfortably. I would be interested to see how that works. I like the idea of Tiny Homes, but I'm pretty sure my children would murder each other after about a month.
What a great dad! I love their tiny house but the notes on the mantle are the cutest! I hope dad frames those😊 I wonder if he has to take the couch in during the winter or if he just covers it.
Very nice home for this wee family. We can see why the little ones 🎉love their loft. Seems like a tiny home theme-sleeping in a treehouse….not so difficult to imagine. Love the message that Dad sends out into the world: he loves his children and wants them to be happy, healthy, and independent.😊😊 Thank you for sharing with us. ❤
Great dad! I have great respect for men who raise their kids. I've raised mine mostly alone for almost 23 years now. Well, the oldest is out of the house now.
I love minimalism as well! Helps you to focus on what really matters. I feel proud of you. Your priorities seem aligned. Great luck to you and your boys👍🏼🌎☀️💙
Good video I enjoyed the man speaking about everything. Nice home. The boys are very fortunate. The shoe box was cool and all the rooms seemed really nice with plenty of room to play and chill.
I feel like I am having Deja Vu. I could of sworn I watched this same video- or most of the video prior about a week or so ago. But as I watch many channels I guess overlap Is expected. I like the fact he chose to sleep on the couch until the playroom/ office is not needed. Shivering black bell thumbs up
Hello!" A very nice Tiny Home. Everything a regular house would have. A lot of time and thought went into your home. And it's taken care of very well.Good luck with the boys and have a nice school year with them. You take care.😊
I feel he should have a bedroom or should I say a bed to sleep on. It looks like a nice community for his children. He is raising his two kids and that is everything.
You are the sweetest Dad. It is wonderful seeing how important the boys are, in your life. I pray, they grow up to love you, unconditionally and, take care of you, if the need arises. God Bless❤
He thought of everything + just love the outside; but wld use cedar for longevity. His is beautiful, tho. No need for travel here, so don't need any of the those additions & upgrades he invested in. Yet the propane + tankless water 💦 heater seems to save a lot? Can only live in AZ due to medical conditions that require me to live here in order to keep dr's. Wld greatly love to simplify + downsize into a Tiny House!
This is a nice set up for the kids. I remember his former wife from an earlier video. She had a masters degree in education. Wishing them all the best.
Love this house but I’m wondering how it will work down the road when the boys are 12-13 and perhaps want their own rooms/space? Ditto for dad- sleeping on that little coach? Not too good for his back!
This looks like a very familiar home, there were even twins in it. So far 2/2 of these exact home designs have had twins in them Edit: oh those lamps at 7:51 nvm I'm thinking of the same home but a couple years prior. When he says "we" when talking about design decisions he's talking about his ex and not his, at the time, 2YO sons Edit 2: I found the video, the video ID is Jbb7FU2gqnI and it's by Tiny Home Tours
I thought so as well. Maybe as a matter of helping out, it was easier to take down the previous post, comments and all, and then upload the blurred version which is the same. So the content is preserved and another go at comments for anyone going forward, with the safety feature. I enjoyed this video, originally and still as much now. I enjoyed living a similar way growing up. I wish we still our little place like that we took all over the US east of the Rockies. The last place I lived in it, was in Colorado, up near Barr Lake. I miss the same people that would seasonally come and go throughout the years there. I miss the owner of the park itself and their grandchildren. We did so many community things together with so many people.
"Experiment" .. in the kitchen. Yes, I can see that. Should watch his fingers, thats possibly the worst way to hold an ingredient you want to cut. Yes, been there, done that, eventually you get fed off about always nearly avoiding accidents or just sawing off the very most top part of your skin xD
He kept saying "we." Were the 2 year old twins involved in the design process? Is there someone else we don't know about? Did his ex help him plan it out?
That’s a caring and loving father, he put his needs last so that his boys can be comfortable. That’s a real man who loves his boys as a SINGLE FATHER. How many fathers out there doing this.
He chose to live this way. So.... in doing so, the boys still have a solid childhood. Their own room, a reading nook, Lego table... etc. That is what a parent does. They give their child(ren) the best upbringing possible and sacrifice their selfs to a point. It is very obvious he has also chosen to stay single, to invest his time and energy into his children. I have mad respect for this man.
@@orion6746 While it is great that a parent does that.. But the boys aren't that small either and should take into account their father's comfort too.. My mom has worked since I was 7 years old.. I helped out in doing household chores and cooking even though I was just 7 yrs old
@deepshikhawrites3751 The amazing thing about being a parent is that you come to realize what little you need for yourself. Your kids are your world. Those boys might have chores for all we know. They see a parent sacrificing an actual bed for them. My mom did the same thing and used the living room as her bedroom so my brother and I (a female) wouldn't have to share a room until she could get a 3 bedroom. That's what good parents do. I learned a lot about how to be a graceful single mother from her. It made me stronger as I had to raise my own child on my own. It taught me how to sacrifice myself, my comfort more times than I can count for my child. I unfortunately didn't get the opportunity to raise my daughter while she was still alive. She will never know just how much her sacrifices have molded me into the parent I am today. I hope these man's boys can grow up with the same respect I have for my mom. Your mom did the same. Having to work to take care of you and being a wonderful parent that taught her child that regardless of age, you are part of this family and can help (making food / chores)

Hi! I'm stecie? May know please the full name of Kevin? I really admire him being a very lovable and responsible dad of his twins. Thank you author.
@@cggrace2019maybe send Jenna your email and she might pass it on to him. His full name being private for his privacy and safety. Just a thought.
You can tell this place is built and even lived in for his boys! What a great dad
As a single parent that raised three children from the ages of 20 months, 4, and 6. I wish you all the best. My three are wonderful adults now :)
Love that he sleeps on the couch so the boys have a space to create.
I nominate him as Dad of the Year!
You means Daddy and Mommy of the Year!

I love the fact that you incorporated the space needed to make it a home not just a tiny house....❤

Swap out the washer/Dryer combo for a vented model. You will notice a substantial difference in operating time.

You are an amazing person. Amazing dad. Safe travel through your life. Continue to grow.
Similar life with my boys here. I know it's not easy but I'm glad to see you doing a great job being a single dad!!!
I've seen this one before. I remember the sticky notes on the fireplace mantel.
I know, right?
And the continuity reminds me of the bits that have been edited out from the original.
It’s sad that his marriage didn’t last, I must say he’s a great Dad to his kids, they couldn’t ask for better ❤

The house looks great and there is
definitely enough room for this family!
I bet the boys are happy campers!❤
Very, very nice setup for the 3 of them. Wish him best of luck with his life and kids. It’s not easy to raise kids alone. Kudos!

Coat the pine and save it for another year or 2.
