- The Haveli (Mansion) of Maharaja Nau-Nihal Singh son of Maharaja Kharak Singh is located inside Walled City Lahore. It was built by Maharaja Nau Nehal Singh as his private residence in 1840 AD. This lofty and magnificent Haveli is considered to be one of the only Sikh era haveli that preserves its original ornamentation and architecture. The Haveli is rectangular in shape with its entrance on the western side. The entire facade of the building is decorated with fresco paintings in the mature Kangra style. The ornamentation is the fine combination of Islamic, Hindu and Sikh faith. The building has four stories and a basement. The fourth storey consist only one small room known as Rang Mahal (Colour Palace). Presently it is owned and maintained by Education Department, Punjab.

Hello Noman, meri daadi Victoria School se padhin thhi. Mere par par dada Bulaaki Shah ji thhe, humaari haveli Gumti Bazaar mein hai. Partition ke baad sabko India aana pada, hum ab yahi rehte hain. Meri daadi ka inteqaal isi saal hua, woh aakhri baar tak haveli ki baatein karti thi, Shah ji bohat jaane maane zamindaar thhe Lahore ke.
Please koshish karein kabhi Bulaki Shah ji ki haveli k baare mein bhi bataayein. Mein family history trace karne ki koshish kar rahi hu.

Tremendous job done. It's a treasure neglected. Running a school at such historic place is akin to undermining its legacy. It's sort of a monument, should have been preserved, fit for tourism, the Sikhs would have paid back the amount the government may have spent on this rare building. Imagine what kind of people were accommodated here that they defaced the walls, other fools scribbled their names, showing their perverted upbringing. The government can still wake up and shift the school elsewhere to preserve it for posterity. We, Sikhs, have also the duty to help the government financially to preserve the glorious past. Isn't it? After all what for Waheguru has blessed us with so much bounty.
Can sikh learn anything from this real Sokh? He has a painting of Waheguru Krishna, and you hate Hindu Gods whom Sikh Guru used to worship.
