Oh my God, I just came here via Google for an example of how Scaler 2 works before I purchase it and ended up learning more about Ableton in 20 minutes than I have in hours of other videos...
Thanks Tristan, this was a perfect topic and timing. As a Studio One user who is frustrated by their direction, I'm considering moving over to Live. However, I'm a rabid Scaler user and really needed to know if I could leverage all the great Scaler functionality in Live 12. I was literally installing the 12 demo and deciding if the midi tools were worthwhile when your vid dropped. Perfect timing and content. Hello to Davide, and keep up the splendid work on Scaler!
Thanks for this. It would be great if you (are you the team behind Scaler?) would consider developing a direct integration of Scaler in Ableton‘s new midi tools using the Max for Live integration.
@@buckycore Uhm. Actually, anyone can make a Max for Live device, even companies. Some do this, to give one example: the Chase Bliss Generation Loss 2 plugin. Others also charge for theirs, have a look at the many devices on the max for live website. So there’s nothing stopping PluginBoutique doing this apart from perhaps their business strategy (or technical challenges, which might be ‘Uhm. No.’ - I wouldn’t know). But no harm in asking, right?
It used to be that everyone wanted automatic quantization, so that everything would be even. Now other trends are that as much as possible notes diverge from each other:))) Thanks.
I am thinking that AI could use all of these tools that you have showen and create a new song in probably any genre and style there is, and then go on to create style mash ups and then ultimately a style of its own that we have never heard before. Thanks for the demonstration.
Guys i m very pro user about Midi generators..Also beta tester of all of them maybe..If you wanna combine midi generators, use this chain..Scaler 2>Toontrack Ezkeys 2>Toontrack Ezbass > Ableton 12 midi things orrrr Chilout Engine or House Engine for parallel notas or chords or etc..
If you create a MIDI clip on a MIDI track which is hosting a drum rack, the notes in that clip's MIDI note editor should automatically inherit the name of each Pad. If a Pad is empty it will just have the note name e.g. C1, but populated pads should automatically result in named/labeled MIDI notes.

Ableton Live for production and Studio One for mixing and mastering 👌
@@LaPlant_Mastering That is exactly my mix now. At the moment, having a blast automating Scaler EQ with Live.

Uhm. No. Scaler2 is from Plugin Boutique. That's now how these things work unless Ableton and Plugin Boutique partner up

Thanks. Great Tutorial on both Scaler 2 and Ableton Live 12's new midi tools.
This is an outstanding creative tutorial, that's easy to understand and to follow along with. Thank you so much for sharing 😊
Great tutorial. Really enjoyable teaching style too. Very watchable.
4:19 Did you / Scaler 2 just Rick Roll us? :D Seriosuly though - Scaler really never gave me up or let me down, lol.

Thanks.
Such an informative video. Great job dude!
thanks--great progression, hold the strum!
If you already have scaler2 . It should cover any kind of midi patterns and rhythm you've ever needed .

Brilliant!
Ableton needs to buy scaler 2 and Serato Sample and include in the suite.

How did your drum kit get labeled in the midi viewer? When I put in a kit it’s just the key names. Anybody know how to do that?

Awesome MATE NOW turn this into a 6 minute track
well... that's a hard part 😅
I find its really easy to do this but it can quickly turn into loopitus 💀
Yeah. Ableton didnt tell us we'd need new computersjust to run 12 live or suite!
