  • The Mawa to Bhanga Highway is a modern highway that extends from the Mawa side of the Padma Bridge to Bhanga in the Faridpur district. This highway plays a crucial role in facilitating the flow of traffic from Dhaka to the southwestern districts of Bangladesh, providing a direct and efficient route that bypasses the traditional ferry crossings over the Padma River.
The highway stretches approximately 55 kilometers (about 34 miles) and features four lanes designed to accommodate a high volume of traffic. The road is built to international standards, with robust engineering and construction techniques ensuring durability and safety. The highway is equipped with modern road safety features, including proper signage, barriers, and lighting.
The Mawa to Bhanga Highway significantly reduces travel time and costs for commuters and freight transporters. By facilitating smoother and faster transportation, it enhances economic activities and development in the southwestern region. This improved connectivity promotes trade, boosts local businesses, and attracts investment, contributing to the overall economic growth of the area.
