    It’s very obvious why you are successful! Your straightforward consistent system makes it easy to justify the different price points. Also you don’t cloud the reviews with marketing fluff!

    Stephen, as someone who found archery near my home in Northumberland near Alnwick, just over a year ago, I was keen to learn. My club made up of traditional archers mainly and coming from a hunting background as a game shooter and shotgun coach, I was interested in those areas (which I can't do in the UK) as well as in compound bows. I can honestly say I have learnt more from you than anyone I have met in the world of archery. Your knowledge and advice saw me buying my first secondhand compound bow, an old PSE, and now after your review I have bought a fantastic PSE React (called a Response here). If I was close enough, I would be a dedicated customer, as it is PSE owe my custom (through M erlin of Bishop Auckland) directly to you, so thanks, and keep making films.....oh, and get that dog trained, hilarious. My gundog Rox, the black lab juat shakes her head watching that poodle wandering around. Brilliant stuff.

    Without a question, the best bow reviews on the net. I am looking for a good used bow in the US and I am considering a few bows I would have to buy without shooting them first and I will only consider bows that you review. Thanks for the excellent reviews.

    Stephen, can you do a bow test where you shoot four arrows with different weights (say like, 350, 450, 550, 650 grains) between two or more bows, to see the speed difference among those bows under different arrow weights as well as the difference on the bow speed for a bow when using different arrow weights?
    Interesting to see how much speed difference each bow will make between lightest and heaviest arrows.

    • @terrymassey5496
      @terrymassey5496 3 года назад

      And...it would speak to how efficient the cams are with the heavier arrows, especially for those who shoot heavies (I shoot 465gr-480grs on my 60lbs bow, 524gr-560gr on my 70lbs bow).

    Steve, was trying to find out the difference in the riser between the hb33 and the turmoil rz they are almost the same bow the hb33 has more adjustments but is the riser made from cheaper materials

    You make really good archery videos. Regarding the "crooked" limb suports. My brother owns a Obsession Turmoil that I shot. I noticed that it also has slightly forward tilted limb suports. Actually, if you look closely at your video when you hold the bow close to the camera there is a slight tilt/slope on the surface of the limb suports where they contact the limbs. So, maybe it is suposed to be like that. Idk😅 Have you found out any more regarding this? Im really interested in the hb33. Hopefully a good value bow. In Finland we have only one dealer to my knowlage that sells Obsession bows😅 Thanks again✌️

    Forgive the late comment, I just stumbled on these reviews while looking for a bow for my girlfriend. First off, you do awesome work. Very thorough, very informative and honest. A quality many do not have. My question, I suppose is, during this review you mentioned Hoyt not being comparable at this price point. And have cast risers. Are Hoyts just that much better? Are cast risers better quality than the others?

    Maybe the limb stops weren't set right, that would explain the lack of valley and letoff, and explain the speed because you would gain an Inch of draw maybe of they were adjusted right...? Maybe? The bow advertises at 80% letoff and 348fps.

    • @goory93
      @goory93 6 лет назад

      Might be worth checking at least. It could definitely be mis-advertised as well, but you never know. And that could make a significant difference.

    Love your reviews. Just curious, do you usually carry left handed models in your shop? Here in the states i still have to make a pretty far drive to find and shoot some models just because Im left handed. I figured being in australia it may be even harder for lefties to find a bow.

    • @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale
      @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale  6 лет назад

      Yes - Left handers sell in a ratio of 1 to 10. So if you sell 10 right handed bow I would stock 1 left hander. So I only stock popular bows in left.

    I picked up a new 2014 Bear Method for 275 usd. Over the chrono it's moving a 450gr arrow 306fps at 29 inch draw and 65lbs. The draw is stiff and aggressive, if you relax it just wants to rip. But it is an accurate bow. It's a cast riser and the finish seems pretty flimsy. New I think they were in the 600-650 use ballpark. Now I think the BR33 has taken that spot and price point and specs looks comparable to the obsession but the obsession looks like it would take my method for a walk.

    • @ObelixCMM
      @ObelixCMM 6 лет назад

      That will give you 362 fps IBO rating on bow that is rated 340 fps by manufacturer, better check your chrono.

    • @countzero5150
      @countzero5150 6 лет назад

      @@ObelixCMM you're absolutely right. Sorry, my mistake. That was with a 375gr arrow, plus or minus a gr or two. My speeds with 450 were dramatically slower, as bows go I think they were like 289-290ish?

    IBO speed will never be achieved with any hunting or target setup on any bow IBO speed is a speed that bows are able to reach with the max poundage and lightest arrow without fletching, the actual speed bows get with a standard hunting arrow and with the average hunter shooting at 60-70 lbs is usually around 280-310 fps with bows that have an IBO speed between 320-350
