Thanks for the insight into your business Steven, you do a great job. Being self employed for the last 25 years I have a huge amount of respect for people who run there own business especially in these times. Keep up the great work, very much appreciate being able to buy my archery gear from a great Australian business.

In ‘66 in Melbourne I could find diving shops in the yellow pages ( or whatever color they were ) go there and buy certain choices of masks, flippers, spearguns, wetsuits . . made in France or Italy were some of the best . Dive shops sold the solid surgical rubber in increasingly strong diameters . . and some products were simply no good but sold anyway . Air guns, wimpy French spearguns, floppy flippers, terrible snorkels, and certain dive shops who had the good stuff, they were the best for that but others were the best for other items . You have an Archery Emporium going on there, like a Cabela’s sized building of everything Archery yet when I visited Cabela’s they either had what was best design and price or, it was go elsewhere, the sales associate asking can I help you while I scanned everything they had and usually bought nothing ! Except that they did have a bargain cave and that came close to selling me a compound bow but even at the lower price it was something that I’d already passed over at the retail price . Customers are the kinds of customers who’ll buy their style of gear, and may be go back in time to want to buy something good from the past, if you still have it . Since prices are just going to go up , hang onto the good stuff and now & then promote the Archery kit as do the old guitar players guitars or the Jacques Cousteau era of diving . And may be give it a rest and wait for people to wear out what they’ve already got .

as far as i'm informed, pandarus hits slightly lower then x10 @ 70m. Icepoint vs paragon does this for barebow at 50m aswell with me. icepoint does group tighter and i suspect the different point design has something to do with it.
Kinda feels like pandarus is similar to chaser in that they modify their products to suit the needs of the elite shooters (ie, taipei team member). Even guys like michele frangilli seems to love them so i'm kinda hoping to see him on stage this weekend

Lord you need to pay 1 person to start a new web page and go through your building and post blow out sales only page to recoup money out of the stuff that's not selling, the longer it sits there the more money you loss not to mention, you could be using that money to make more money. The stuff that don't sell that's going out of date is like losing money twice.

I hope Darton does a lot better this time around, the timing system and very simple arrow-tuning approach should be desirable. Prices seem reasonable too?
I think MK can definitely get a bit more love from the Aus market, now that I have seen the X-on it will be on my recommendation list for a solid "mid" priced bow.

I have a small archery shop in Wv in the United States I sell Mathews and did fairly well the first couple years, the locals don't come here they buy everything online then come here for help. they want me to basically help for free, archery is dying again. The kids would rather watch TikTok in bed then shoot archery, I'm probably going to close soon.

Holy moly... I don't understand how or why you continue to do it? I am sure you've thought of ways to cost cut or diversify your business (for example, having a range that people can pay to shoot at to help offset business losses) but I can't understand how it is that you can continue to operate if at the end of the day you're coming out MAYBE 1% ahead! What?!?!

Maybe have the cheap trad bows made available for schools sport programs to get youth interested and generate sales from that?

Sounds like ordering from overseas for you is just like ordering from your web site for us...get sales staff that can sell what you need them to sell.

The bow hunting ban has definitely killed the sport it for me. I still have all my bows & crossbows. Though i target practice only to be a better hunter. Now why bother.
I have gone from managing deer, goats & foxes with compound bow & crossbows for years on our farm with countless ethical kills. To having to now use a rifle. That effects the Neighbours and our- there lifstock with the reduculousey loud noise. It's less effective. Often shots that could of been taken with a bow or crossbow have to be passed up due to extended danger zone if a rifle. I would often get several shots off with the bow it was very effective. Rifle just gets them all running and hiding for days. Last but not least the supposed reason for the ban. Bows not being effective or humane. 🤷....If anything the animals shot in the vitals heart-lungs have died faster using the bow than a centre fire rifle.
    Extreamy disapoting political outcome.
