the BRITS ages ago were so weird with their video choices for nominees - What You Get Is What You See by Tina Turner was about 3 years old by that point! Surely it's about celebrating the YEAR (and a little bit more) before.
One of the giant stars of the 80s that Bob Geldof spitefully kicked off the Live Aid line up after Ant was one of the first to agree and promote it's launch.
@@petems3283 Yeah, one hasty song (4 was the original arrangement) after Geldof was made to change his mind by Ants manager who threatened to pull all of his acts out the event if he never got to perform.
Prince had already made an impression in the mid to late 80s. His music and style were taken for granted at the turn of the 90s, which is probably why he came back with Cream, and a more polished glamorous image to match later on. Neneh Cherry made a real splash with her hit, and she really deserved that award. In the nominees list, her song is the best by far, and the only one that had an impact at the time.
She was so damn cool
Wait...Gloria Estefan, Prince AND Tina Turner?!?!!
I love adam’s little dancing in the beginning
