Brother...I have been listening to this over and over and over for the past week.
I was medically retired from the military in 2019. After the fall of Afghanistan I had been asking myself what was my 18 years of service and 5 combat tours for...what was any of it for.
I know now that Gods mission for me wasn't the military. Those years of my life were part of the heat treatment process used to forge me for my mission to glorify him.
I know that this song and the other songs on your channel are part of your mission. I just wanted to let you know that God is using you. The work you put into this is not for nothing, it's for His glory.

Let EVERY creature (His creatures, meaning all of creation) praise the LORD! This song (Psalm) acknowledges God’s Omnipotence. Shane and Shane illustrate in one of their intros for this song how The Word of God in Psalm 46 says “Be still and know that I Am God!” Sounds innocuous unless you know God. In 2nd Kings Ch 6:15 it says:
When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked.
16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

This song is beautifully done. More people need to hear this and see that metal isn't just doom and gloom, it has power in it and beauty. The metal fans that truly need to hear these words aren't going to find them or listen to them in their original format. It's easy to forget that He is with us, even when things seem to be impossible and hopeless. Wolves at the Gate has been my go-to metal Christian band for quite a while, since they are one of the few bands that crush the metal sound and center their lyrics on their unashamed faith in God.
