Florida is overbuilt at this point to the extreme that there’s no place for the water to be absorbed with all of the pavement, buildings roads, etc. The state essentially is a swamp, and was full of swamp plants which absorbed all that water. Now it’s been combined to a narrow strip on the left side center of the state.they always get these monsoon periods. There’s just nowhere for the water to go now.

Thats life all along the coast. The ocean is rising and they need to move inland. After Hurricane Andrew Fema was talking about not rebuilding Florida but that was not a good idea but they have to move. It sucks big time but water is a force no one can harness well.

How come nothing could be done about it if there is a will there is a way nobody from local politicians think about it they let the citizens to get hit hard how come Nederlands for centuries are protecting their live hood and their cities are built on depression below the see level Venice same built its magnificent buildings on marshes
Florida only 200 years and cannot find solutions

    • @catherinesanchez1185

Because those countries believe in paying taxes and utilizing their government to work solutions . Florida is mostly run by antigovernment types voted in by people who don’t want to pay taxes. Then they want the government to help when something goes wrong . But, it’s too late . Florida could have been working on their infrastructure for decades and hasn’t .
Also, Obama had tied receiving federal $$$ for infrastructure to building for future climate caused disasters . Trump reversed it as soon as he got in office . So, they’re still building for how Florida was decades ago not for the future .
