So 350 lumens is the max? Any way to boost those numbers? Been looking for an American made EDC titanium flashlight

Gorgeous light that I’d one day like to own. Personally I really value high cri. And a good tint.. I’ve worked as a glassblower for 15+ years and actually prefer to work in darker conditions. Makes it much easier for me to read the heat Temps of the glass. However, sometimes I do need to throw some light on something and accurate color rendering is a major plus. Aside from that, I’ll occasionally put on my salesman hat and work sales at a local gallery. Again, a good little light to highlight colors and finer features of the piece has led to many sales that I may not have otherwise made.
I’ve carried an eagtac d25c ti, 2015 model for years. I got it with an xpl-hi neutral and for some reason, it just has an absolutely gorgeous tint that I just can’t seem to beat.. I’ve got a Prometheus beta in ti that rivals it for first, but the eagtac does look better side by side. Now the weird thing.. I’ve purchased other xpl-hi neutral domeless lights hoping for similar results but the eagtac just laughs at them. I just lucked out with a unicorn I guess.. my most recent light purchase was actually the fw3 ti-cu. Again, I took a risk and got the xpl-hi neutral but unfortunately I received the coolest, lowest cri example yet. I do love the light though so I ended up ordering another with the sst20 in 4kk. It’s supposed to be 95 cri so it seemed worth trying. The only way I could find a driver with those leds was in a purple Aluminum body lol. I, good with purple though and my plan is to build the best one I can with the parts and sell the other. Or maybe keep it as more of a beater.
I agree with crk as well.. I’ve owned two. However, I’m a little disappointed with my most recent. A small, plain 31 with the standard, drop point blade. It seems to chip awfully easily. I’ve managed to do it twice over the past couple months, doing things I do all the time with other knives. I’ve never chipped a blade before in my life! So I’ve been meaning to contact them. It’s an expensive tool, but it’s still meant as a tool! Not a dainty display piece for cutting the occasional marshmallow!
I’m generally not much of a collector but I’ll gladly spend the extra money for a high quality tool that I’ll enjoy carrying, handling and using every day! No safe queens here! I also totally understand that price doesn’t equate to performance, but when my $7 sanrenmu is ultimately more capable than a $400 crk with a cutting edge super steel, something isn’t right.

Depends on your price range and morals on manufacturing. Jeff is an amazing guy. A few years ago I was curious about his light. I asked about them in the fb group. He reached out to me (not suggesting he can do this now or will) and asked if I wanted to test one and see if I like it. He shipped me his test model of TinyDC he came up with. Just to test out and try while he was making a new batch. If I liked it I could buy my own and send his back. No strings attached. I carried the light for a few month and he never asked for it back once. That kind of customer support on big time manufacturers is hard to find.

The way a custom piece feels in hand is, perfect. It just feels good. Reason being is that there was a hand holding it and inspecting it throughout the whole process. Does that make it worth it? How about the no questions asked warranty? Where if there's anything at all wrong with your light, you can ship it back with Okluma covering shipping both ways. Does that make it worth it? How about the fact that he'll ship out a light for you to use, while yours is back in the creator's hands getting refinished back to brand new condition. Does that make it worth it? To me, yes it does 100x over.

It was to me; but I use a flashlight A LOT for my work as a ranch manager and hunting guide. Also, I appreciate fine craftsmanship and machine work. If you’re just looking for a good source of light with a good run time, it’s probably “not worth it.” You can find much cheaper lights that will produce roughly equal light and similar (if not better) run times. You will NOT find a better constructed light that will last you a lifetime and that’s warrantied for life. Asking if it’s “worth it” is like asking if a Rolex is worth it - the answer depends on the person. It depends on your goals, your interests, your financial situation, etc. A Timex or a Casio or a Seiko watch will all tell time as well as (and maybe better) than a Rolex. So, is a Rolex worth it? Depends on the person, obviously. Again, for me, it WAS worth it - for the DC0 and for Rolex. There were times in my life when those things were NOT worth it to me. You’ll have to decide for yourself. 🙏
