LSU coach Brian Kelly is staying busy building his roster through the transfer portal. LSU has added 3 more players after adding RB Noah Cain, DB Greg Brooks, and WR Kyren Lacy. LSU also losses WR Devonta Lee as he has entered his name into the portal. Moscona breaks down each player and what they will bring to the Tigers.

I been saying that if mel tucker can go 2-7 one year and the next year go 7-2 when the transfer portal came into effect I definitely believe brian kelly can do something with this team with still a lot of great pieces on this roster

I'm just wishing to see if Kelly's program can sustain itself in the SEC... I want to review the style of offensive play will he implement that will give the West a different look. How will the defense compete from what we've seen and experienced in these previous seasons?

What do you think he is doing ? he kept the o line recruits together and, he went out and got myles frazier and, he is recruiting as we speak o'cyrus Torrance so, I don't think he could do much more

Many of us fans hate the transfer portal but if LSU’s football team has ever needed a complete cleansing it is NOW. Malaise and toxic are two words that describe LSU since that national championship night in January 2020. Between many players who developed a self importance selfish attitude beyond their team ( good example-LSU Cornerback Derek Stingley) to a coach whose arrogance and incompetence destroyed one of the best programs in America ( plus a specific assistant DB coach )the transfer portal is perfect. Getting rid of these malcontents and replacing them with athletes and coaches that care about ‘team’ will allow LSU to move forward out of the abyss. Thanks AD Scott Woodward for starting the process

Hopefully we keep Emery, Kiner, & land Citizen. I’ll be more than happy with Emery, Cain, Kiner, & Citizen as our stable of backs. So if anyone transfers hopefully it’s Goodwin and/or Bradford. Williams likely isn’t going anywhere since he’s a walk on.
We have Boutte, Nabers, Bech, Jenkins, Thomas, Hilton, Lacy, & Ibieta so we good a receiver for sure.
We gotta land a tight end in the portal. Hopefully we could get either Michael Trigg or Jahleel Billingsley. With Kelly being known for turning out great NFL TEs you would think we would be able to land a top TE in the portal

I told my son after the national championship game that Orgeron would be gone within 3 years. He asked me how did I know when he got fired. His incompetence was obvious. From his mismanagement of the roster, inability to recruit certain positions, taking some players off the portal that were not SEC material, making bone headed coaching hires, dumb off the field personal decisions and an ineffective management style. It all went to Orgeron’s head. He had a dysfunctional organization and is one of the reasons why so many players left
I said it 2018 you can go look under the comment section in 2018 when he lost to bama. I said he was going to go crawl to sean payton for him to throw him a bone and that's exactly what he did. I told everyone he was a band-aid. i still tried to get behind the team and him because, he was the home town guy but, I know when usc turn him down they told him he was to dumb to coach there
Yeah he lucked up with Burrow and Brady. People forget he was on the hot seat before the 2019 season for a reason. He made terrible hires before that season and terrible ones after. I knew signing him to that extension was a mistake

Noah Cain was supposed to save the Penn State running game. He spent most of his time hurt. Then was the #3 back when he came back.
Hopefully they don't lose someone from the RB room, Cain is basically a replacement for TDP who most people didn't expect to declare for the Draft. LSU needs to get off the treadmill with these numbers.
I just want our offensive and defensive linemen to be solid especially the offensive linemen so they can protect our qb's it dnt matter how much talent you have you got to be solid in the trenches.

LSU should not be recruiting non starters from Alabama. Shane Lee is not LSU material. Moody maybe, but its a reason they were not starting at Alabama. Billingsley will be a headache.

Orgeron was not perfect but a majority of turmoil & defections was caused by Scott Woodward - fired Orgeron (and staff) but he had NO ONE in house to recruit & further sell LSU to high school recruits & veteran transfers.
Stop blaming (Moscona often does) Orgeron for Woodward’s handling of this tumultuous post-season recruiting & player personnel.

I'd love to see how successful ANY coach other Saban would be after having his entire team and coaching staff gutted after a championship, then navigate covid. Oh and players jealous of each other because because the oh so glorious Scott WOodward dropped the ball on NIL.

Transfer Portal candidates are abundant at every position - it has become a ‘super school’ pool of unclaimed or available talent. LSU needs only to identify needs & wants, and recruit them.
There are still plenty of 5*, 4* & 3* recruits who held off committing until February, and a number were holding off until all of the coaching changes stopped.
Kelly is a strong recruiter and he his almost completed with appointing his subordinates.
LSU will use all of its 25 high school recruits and it’s max of 7-1o transfers. LSU has already identified (signed) three experienced DBs from Transfer Portal just this week.

The Tigers are adding a bunch of 3 star players. Even Noah Cain isn't the RB he once was. Why on earth would any fan be pumped up about this? The rest of the SEC is laughing at LSU at the moment. Kelly has his work cut out for him for the next 3 yrs. I hope the fans are patient but we all know they are not.
Which are 3 stars? Justin Jefferson was a 3 star ⭐️ and is breaking all kinds of records right now, it’s how you develop. Not saying 5 stars can’t make a difference, but each player so far is quality…
