Based, Hiya Toys > SHMA when it comes to MonsterVerse figures ftw. Now I have a story for y'all: As my pre-order for the Hiya Toys Godzilla 2019 finally came in, I was obviously a very happy man. Now for context, I was also planning to get the 2021 2.0 version of the Godzilla so I can pretend the 2019 version is Dagon but then a relative of mine surprisingly gifted me another 2019 Godzilla as sort of like a reunion gift after not seeing eachother for soo long and he knows I like Godzilla, so now I'm the proud owner of two of them, will I still get the 2021 redo? Probably yeah and funnily enough, I just got notified last night that my Rodan is finally otw, so I thought I'd sneak this little story in here XD
Love Hiya as a line. I have all of the Monsterverse figures except the 2019 Godzilla since I’m satisfied with the 2021 version. Drooling at the mouth for the Ghidorah, Skullcrawler, and Female MUTO next. I’m sure the Male MUTO and MechaGodzilla will come.

Interesting, the wings are like the Mattel Amber Collection JPIII Pteranodon. I've been a Godzilla fan since I was a kid, but I never really got into collecting any of the many figures out there (probably because I focus so heavily on dinosaur/prehistoric stuff), though I did pick up the cheap Jakks KotM set with Godzilla and Rodan a few years back. This is a really nice figure, and the price is pretty affordable too for its detail and size.
I for sure im gonna get this figure but i wanna get g19 first. I only have one monsterarts figure which is kong and hes cool but honestly i think im gonnago with the hiya route, that doesn't mean ill get other monsterarts figures tho, that new SpaceGodzilla lookin cool.
I only ever bought one SH Monster Arts which is the 2019 Godzilla figure only for the better face and eye sculpt and never again lmao they couldn't get it eye right for such an expensive figure
Why is no one ever mentioning the Neca Rodan ? It’s not as articulated, yes, but the figure looks amazing, the lava effect is incredible on him and he does come with a beautiful display base recreating the volcano scene. All of that for half the price of the Hiya Toys one !
Personally I preferred the Sh monsterarts Rodan and ended up selling my Hiya one, I do have the hiya Godzilla 2021 though and I have to say it’s way better than the Sh monsterarts
Only 2 things SHMA Rodan has over Hiya toys is the torso articulation and eye paint application. Other than that, Hiya toys Rodan is the superior figure
Hiya is more like NECA. Which i'm thankful they went more down the NECA look for the new Godzilla stuff and not the SHMA route. I never liked SHMA versions. Hiya is going beyond what NECA did with the Godzilla license and i am loving all the future stuff coming especially that King Ghidorah.

hiya is definitely doing better at monsterverse figures, but will they ever be able to top the suit sculpts?
Wouldn't doubt it quality wise. And sculpt wise, they are very talented so far.

i have the hiya 2019 godzilla and shma shin translucent red and the material is almost the same soft plastic. which is why i got shin.
