Plus, I do agree peace requires both sides, but it needs justice first and foremost, and after the last violence on Gaza, the attack on the worshipers in Al-Aqsa mosque and the displacement of Palestinians in Sheikh Jarrah, Silwan and in the West Bank, it’s pretty obvious there’s no justice for them. You simply can’t ask the oppressed to be okay with the oppression he’s facing or defy this injustice and oppression peacefully, oppressed people are going to do whatever it takes to lift the boots off their and their loved ones’ necks, I don’t think you or anyone else would try and act in a peaceful manner when they are their loved ones getting slaughtered and displaced, but even though the Palestinians are fighting with rocks and peaceful protests but the my are met with brute force by the IDF.

this is something that I feel is perceived as a rude question that attacks Israelis in a direct way. Religiously, they can't feel that they see arabs a second class. There are prayers reminding Israelis not to be nasty like this because their fathers were slaves in egypt. To view anyone as second class means you are a bad jew.
That said, there are emotions, fears, nervousness. that keep them from being totally comfortable with arabs. The way I perceive arabs from the news I get would make me extremely nervous. These folks are a lot nicer than I would be in their shoes

Many of them say it but very clearly don't see them as equals. They accuse Arabs as being violent or aggressive, but fail to see why. Maybe it's because the Jews force Arabs out of their homes, settle in their lands (i.e., west bank), and (bigger picture here), created a state on a piece of land that should be entirely theirs.

As an Anglo citizen of the State of Israel I am certainly not a first class citizen. Even a fourth class citizen would be a stretch! It is not a feeling, it is a fact; it is based on how one is treated; it is based on what rights are extended or NOT; it is based on lack of redress to injusticeS; it is based on very real discrimination in all dealings with the State, some of which the State proudly declares. In Israel, there is discrimination against anybody who isn't a member of the secular Yekke pre-State elite. In Israel, you will be disciminated against if you do not speak perfect Hebrew or speak with the wrong accent, so while many Arabs will meet that criteria, many others will, too. Sure, a tiny minority of Jews wouldn't rent to Arabs, but some wouldn't rent to Russians, Sephardis, or Ethiopians, etc. There are also Arabs that wouldn't rent to Jews. There are also numerous villages, towns and cities that one has to be approved by a residents' committee to be allowed to live there. For sure, Arabs are more likely to face discrimination in dealings with police and border guards, but I have experienced discrimination as well. Israeli profiling is very crude. Israelis are very fearful and it's easy to stereotype people, and likely nowhere is there more divisive sterotyping than in Israel. In my opinion, this is a non-question. It is a question to which the Yekke elite believes it knows the answer (as well as foreigners), so would not be serious about asking, and would not care if the answers ran contrary to its/their beliefs. It is also a non-question because it assumes that's the main form of discrimination in Israel, which in reality is far far far from the truth. Israeli society discriminates against all forms of otherness, and there are many 'others' in the State of Israel. The majority of those discriminated against in Israel are Jews. I've spent significant amount of time among israeli Arabs. I visited their houses and towns. Witnessed many conversations between them (mainly in north israel, but I was in a group of Arabs from Negev desert). I remember particularly one conversation with an Arab doctor. He said he prefers to have Jews as his neighbours because they do not stick their noses in his life, they do not watch him through windows and balconies, they simply live next to him and mind their own buisiness. While Arab neighbours are very rumour-oriented. They always gossip, judge, compare etc. Ofcourse it is just one particular conversation and his private opinion but it was extrimely interesting to me.
