Thank you very much for putting those links in your description! I inherited a Columbia machine that I was having a heck of a time trying to thread right. I found your video in a Google search, and clicked on it because the machine looked extremely similar. The second link gave me all I needed to get it working.
i have a American home super deluxe sewing machine made in Japan and i need any and all info that can be found!I've looked high and low but I'm drawing a blank!
I have my grandmothers electric machine, a Premier DeLuxe 228. I cannot find a year date. It does have the shuttle, it needs cleaned up, and needs a replacement belt. Where would I find replacement parts ?
would this be a good machine for someone who is newish to sewing? I have done sewing in the past but it's been a long while so I'm considering myself on the noob end of things.
Hi there. I just acquired a general , Japanese sewing machine, but no foot pedal. Looks it fantastic shape, color teal I think.came with a really nice wooden table to hold the machine. I was wondering where I can find a foot pedal for it. Thank you
I just bought the same machine at a garage sale for 20$! It didn't come with the instruction manual. Can you please do a video on how to thread this puppy? Thank you Mike!
I have this machine in the video and was wondering if you could tell me where to find a model number on it? Also it came with a Singer 201N manual (small green booklet). I'm curious as to what it might be worth if anything.
I have the "Kenmore 128.274" version of this machine. The "Stitchmatic Super Deluxe Precision" Built Sewing Machine is the same machine also and easier to find the manual for. They are almost clones of the singer 15-91 with several major difference's in set up (the 15-91 has a much better manual). I would like to point out that the needle in the singer go's in with the flat side to the left towards the front tensioner of the machine (as per the 15-91 manual). For these Japanese versions the flat side of the needle go's towards the right or towards the back hand wheel part of the machine. The thread go's in from left to right. You can figure out which way the needle and thread go onto the machine by which side the hook associated with the bobbin go's past the needle on the needle's downward stroke. When the needle go's back up, a thread loop is formed on the flat side of the needle that has the shorter groove (a longer grove should be on the round side of the needle). This allows the hook to hook the thread.
Our detailer, Aradia, has made a video of how to thread a class 15 sewing machine like this one. RUclips won't let me put a link in the comments, so I've put the link in the description, above.
My house is a little over-crowded with 12 machines, at the moment...soI have one of these for sale. I'd like $75. It's just as you...(and another video from your business, describe).
I just found one, it may not be the same model in the video but I just found one! Though I'm going to have to do a lot of research on how to fix the minor problems that it may have.
HELP! I have a Japanese made Raico DeLuxe model B54885 sewing machine, I have no information on it, I've been all over the web but to no avail, the upper tension is on the front of the machine but looks as if it has missing parts. I would appreciate any info.
Could you please tell us what your settings were and why. In particular, what feed dog height do you use and what tension and thread do you use for leather. Also if you know, is your upper tension spring the original spring? I am talking about the unseen spring inside the tension assembly. I have one of these machines branded under the Kenmore name model 148.274. (I am using it for first time in at least 30 or 40 years since it has been used by previous owner. I can't get the tension to go down enough even when set at 0, it is still very hard. I had too squeeze the spring all the way, apply little heat to make it short enough to be able to adjust the tension. I suspect original spring was replaced with a singer 15-90 spring). Any chance you can measure the free length of your top tension spring with calipers? Thank You.
