We know from the last sections of Isaiah and Ezekiel that YHWH ultimately fulfills His promises to the nation of Israel. I am content to be a gentile, united in Christ with all believers, Jews and gentiles. I loved hearing Stephanie’s reference to Paul in Rome…I am in chains for the hope of Israel.

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." Mat 24:14 I don't understand how this verse fits with the modern Jerusalem.
During the Tribulation, the Gospel of the Kingdom will be once again preached to the Nation of Israel, along with the other nations. The Two Witnesses of Revelation 11 will be present in Jerusalem prophesying (or preaching). Also the 144,000 will be as well, fulfilling Matthew 24:14. After the 3 1/2 year Tribulation, which is the “END”, Messiah comes and establishes His Government, headquartered in Jerusalem. (Jeremiah 3:17)

There is no Scriptural support for waiting, obviously, since that is what much of the New testament is about. 2) There is no Scriptural connection between Mat 24:14 and Rev 11. 3) If Jer 3:17 is referring to the "END" then is Jer 3:6 referring to now?
Pray for peace for Jerusalem is taken from Psalm 122. There, King David prays for peace for Jerusalem because there was usually conflict when the 12 tribes of Israel went up there at the same time and were supposed to praise the Lord together, according to the law that had been set for it. So the way you use these verses from Psalm 122 is totally out of context.

Israel is in a state of apostasy the door for Israel closed in Acts 28 Paul was trying to provoke them to jealousy and this is before he gets the revelation of the mystery you're speaking out of turn
In Matt 24, when the disciples asked Jesus when he would restore the kingdom to Israel, he did not say “you are mistaken…I am not going to do that.” Instead, few verses later he said it would be after the abomination of desolation was setup in the temple in fulfillment of Daniel 9.

That's what Jesus will be doing when he comes back.
It may not take the entire thousand years. But at least for a period during the 1000 years.
