I just got a 12 set of Polychromos for Christmas and I'm really looking forward to trying them out. Thank you so much for sharing your blending technique!
Really useful as I got the 60 set of Polychromos for Christmas and that was the same set you were using, i'm also planning on buying smooth paper as when I followed your tutorial my slightly textured paper started to tear. One new subscriber fore sure!
So, I'm really only familiar with Prismacolors, but I've been curious about Polychromos(sick of sharpening and sharpening and sharpening!).... so, can you burnish with Polychromos? Get that smooth solid pigment without the white grainy paper coming through?
Hi, sorry for the late reply..missed your comment :) Yes, you can burnish with Polychromos either with a white pencil or an actual burnisher pencil. I'd also recommend a really good smooth, vellum surface paper (my favourite ones are by Strathmore) so that when you colour in there aren't any white grainy surface showing. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching the video! :)
Thank you for your comment. I really appreciate it. Yes, it sometimes can be challenging with the text, if I do it in black, sometimes you can't see it properly either when there's a dark background. But i'm always experimenting and finding other ways to make my videos better and readable for my viewers. :)
I'm assuming you're referring to the FC Albrect Durer watercolour pencils? If so, I haven't tried it before, but of course it's worth trying. I wouldn't be surprised if it is as blendable as the polychromos ones. I'm sure it'll be worth it. Thank you for your comments :)
How Do you color with polychromos and not see wax blown and the lines from your pencil tip it looks like you know how to do Easter eggs should take a white wax pencil write your name on your Easter egg and then you put it in the die in your name stands out and white well that’s what this looks like
thanks! I always use hot-pressed watercolour paper as I do mixed-media very often. However, the Strathmore brand offers a variety of smooth papers for coloured pencils. I have the Strathmore Vellum smooth paper (which is highly recommended) that I bought recently still waiting to be tried out :) Thanks for asking!
I just bought the 120 set and I'm sooooo excited! I love this tutorial💕
I have that set and keep it in my favorite distressed leather pencil case.

Amazing tutorial. The blending is terrific, and you didn't have to use any chemicals. I'm going to practice this over and over until I get it right.
