Dating someone with kids is definitely not for the weak, I used to say I would never date someone with kids but it did happen. I can say he was the love of my life but sadly it didn’t work because he couldn’t find a healthy balance and I would never ask him to put his children before me. Love your videos ❤

The reason you described is exactly why I think people stay longer than they should, but also just afraid to start over and be uncomfortable.
I’m noticing that Dearra is so smart, independent, and hardworking. I feel on her old channel it seemed as if she dimmed herself down and couldn’t really show how smart she actually is. The growth is inspiring.

I agree 100% with you sayin it’s not about a woman not knowing their worth!!! That’s why we mentally leave before physically leaving! You realize or know your worth but it’s about not wanting to give up on something you really want. Whether that’s the relationship or maybe a business you guys have together, like my situation. My best friends constantly say I need to know my worth, but I 100% know what I deserve and know what I want but it’s not even about that. Totally agree. I was in a relationship and engaged for five years and I wanted to do everything in my power to keep the relationship but on the other hand he wasn’t trying and that’s when I realized I had to call it quits. "| didn't leave because I stopped loving you, I left because the longer I stayed the less I loved myself" | remember reading this quote after my heartbreak and it hit me hard cause we all come to a breaking point and realize why are we fighting so hard for someone and getting nothing in return.

As far as relationships, it's so interesting to hear your point of view about why women stay "longer than they should," because you're right-damn-near EVERYBODY says the reason why a woman stays is because she doesn't know her self-worth. It's refreshing to here you say that a woman stays because she REALLY wants it to work out so bad. And a lot of times, that's the case. It's good to put that out there so that we can all learn to not judge each other so harshly/don't judge at all.
I may not be a girl /female, but this conversation is something I would've loved to have with De'arra because it's like, one of those getting deep convos. All the more reasons I still support and love De'arra. Getting to know her even more.
I really appreciate this video and your honesty. I literally felt the part about not wanting to giving up on someone to my core. Just a few hours ago I decided I’m finally done. Over the last few weeks I’ve been thinking and im really not give up im letting go of someone who is the worst for me. In ALL of my previous relationships I’ve accepted so much bullshit expecting and believing a person can change. I told myself I can’t break me while trying to help heal you! #period. I am SSOOO loyal to people and treat others how I want to be treated but so many times the energy wasn’t reciprocated. I totally agree with your take on staying in relationships longer than you should…what most people don’t realize is truly falling in love takes time, time that has been invested, time that can not be returned. So for most, falling out of love will also take time. We may stay physically but every day we check out mentally.

I been following De’arra for a long time and I love that she’s her own person regardless of what anybody thinks.In this day and time you have to set those boundaries of what you want and don’t want. it took me we while to learn that you shouldn't go back to an ex, I too was that person that would go back to exe's cause its what I was used to and I was just afraid of starting over! But people use that to take advantage of you. Just because they are coming back to you too doesn't mean they value you and what you guys have, they're comfortable with the fact that they will always have someone to fall back on if whoever they turned on you for folds.
