    Evan Williams is my favorite bourbon for marinating and using instead of cognac for pan sauces and gravies

    Hello. I made this last nite , was truly out of this world , great recipe! Flavor was amazing. , even using gas grill , I used Four Roses bourbon , has to use regular cow cover , not the hot. But fantastic !!

    Another good use for SPG is to season the burger meat while it’s browning for spaghetti

    I enjoy the backyard trim. Take off anything that doesn't feel soft; or too thick and leave the rest.

    Instead of red wine vinegar I would use Apple cider and Really good aged Balsamic vinegar...

    Made a mistake on mine, was intentionally marinate for 4 hrs. Got called in for work and the next day was 30hrs marinated. Went ahead and grilled them, and damm wasn't a mistake at all. Best steaks I've ever made, sometimes a mistake isn't a mistake at all.......

    I trim all the fat off the outside of my steaks, unless I’m just being lazy, especially with Wagyu. I rely on the marbling to keep it juicy.

    Jim Beam Black or Buffalo Trace both great bourbons. And you can only call it bourbon if it's from Kentucky anywhere else is whiskey. It's a federal law.

    Ok, I subscribed a minute ago. Sounds good except instead of adding water I would add more Bourbon, oh and I would left A More Fat for, you know Flavour. Also I would add Chipotle peppers to the marinade and fresh and Roasted Garlic. Maybe even some Roasted Elephant Garlic. And Fresh Herbs like Thyme and Mexican Oregano and Cilantro. But hey 🤔, that's just Me...

    Very good steak does not need a marinade. Select or choice grade may need one.
