Lotus should try to make more cleans for If I Die First. His clean vocals fits this genre so well.

I’m a Lil Lotus stan (he’s from Dallas and doing my favorite style of music currently). I’ve been a SKSK fan since like 2010 and it’s a great pairing. Lotus just fits here, his vocals are so great for this post hardcore style. It’s a great song, and you can tell Lotus respects the hell out of SKSK and gave it his all. What a kick ass song and video.
Me too. I live in Dallas and have been a Lotus fan for a while now. I think out of all this "pop punk is making a comeback" stuff, Lotus is doing it the best.
What SKSK are doing with this record is very awesome. Every song having a different singer well known in the scene is something band's don't do that often.
I remember that Japanese Post-Hardcore band Pay Money For My Pain did the same thing when their singer died as well. It's a new twist on things but I feel like it's also a way of honoring the memory of the singer as well. So I can't wait for this new album!
Another band that has done this is Strawberry Girls. Check them out, they are so amazing. :)
This band just couldn’t replace Tyson he was such a major instrumental part of the band. So instead of trying to replace him they honored him. With a beautiful song and with allowing all these other amazing artist a chance at platform by featuring multiple artist in the front man spot. I couldn’t be more proud of this band and the ideas they have been doing

I dig it, sure it’s not the old SKSK, but how could it be? It’s been 10 plus years. People age and so does music. No one stays the same and either does the music that we listen to or play. Love to see Lil Lotus. He’s a fucking Jedi.
Then change the band's name. Think Matt joining Three Days Grace after Adam left. It's good, but it ain't TDG without Adam in the band. Might as well be My Darkest Grace.
The people coming back to SKSK are people who listened to them 10 years ago - those are the people who are going to either keep them or make them relevant again. The kids willing to listen to this type of music nowadays are far and few.

I remember reading a statement from the guitar player saying they were NOT planning on making any new music a year ago, so I was quite shocked when this new song dropped. I guess we shall see what the future holds for the band.

I saw them live the other day 🔥🔥🔥🔥 boys still got it. Vaines / Kurt Travis are a powerful combo for doing live old and new songs. If you see this song live this current tour it will be sung primarily by Vaines, which he kills it.

@@zinnyzxx cove is not in the band... They aren't moving forward with a lead singer.. all songs have guest features and every tour they go on will have a singer from a different band... Craig mabbit was supposed to be the singer for this tour.. however they have a different vocalist since Craig got covid.

Definitely not their usual sound, but still good. If you haven't listened yet I highly suggest it. They've been one of my favorite bands since I was like 11, I'm 26 now.
Out of all the new SKSK releases I've heard so far this is easily the best and most true to what I think SKSK is. I'm not the band of course but after hearing their music for so many years and seeing one of the recent reunion shows I just see this one giving the most ooooomph
