Isn’t it so that The Greek word for brothers and sisters (adelphoi) refers to believers, both men and women, as part of God’s family; now in John 1:1 In the beginning, the Word was with God and the Word WAS God…but then the Word became flesh. Isn’t Jesus the image of the invisible God? Isn’t he the Word that became flesh. Then according to you should we call God our brother also? Remember, Jesus was sanctified and those being sanctified are the believers and are called brothers and sisters. Now out of respect I would not dare call Jesus MY BROTHER! Jesus my Brother is a theology taught by John Calvin and others. That’s a religion that twists the scriptures out of context creating a God-Like leader that has nothing to do with the Bible. Now since I cannot call my earthly father “brother” how can I call my Heavenly father my brother? Hebrews 2:13 NIV And again, “I will put my trust in him.”[a] And again he says, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.”[b]
