Put some washers behind the top two screws so this way your radio will line up a bit better with the vents

It’s very simple. Just plug and play connectors. No splicing involved and mounts to all the factory mounting.

If you adjust those screws in the back and pull them out for a little bit, that’s how you adjust the fitment before you fully mount the system you do have to put it in and take it out so until you get the proper fitment, but you can adjust that socomes out flush with everything else. Hope that helps.
Great video! I was looking at installing a head unit into my IS, but it looked so confusing.. & there weren't many proper videos on how to install a head unit into an IS. But this video will help me out a ton. Soon I will have myself a lockdown project, thanks for the great vid!

Just bought the same and started installing in my 2is. Unable to control a/c at this time (unable to figure out the canbus module) but leaving it for the weekend. Thanks for uploading this! video!
For the ac control to show you need to go to settings, factory, 3368, and there is an option that says canbox then you have to chose lz(hz), toyota, lexus is
@@talkr21 thank you! My headunit ended up being an Xtrons and figured out that it was not a canbus issue. Had issues with the reverse camera and learned that my particular unit in order to use reverse camera I have to use the OBD connector. Mine will not trigger reverse without it (reverse wire on head unit does nothing).

I have another type of screen. I had to take off the CD player part too. The only button on my dash is for the hazard lights. Everything from the air con to the volume buttons are on the screen. It’ll probably cost a few hundred more, but to me it makes it look better as it leaves less lines. Don’t get me wrong because the inside looks so much better with the screen in there. In terms of the sound quality, there are tuts on here that will show you how to adjust the equaliser

Hi, I bought the same screen but the touch screen doesn't work for me to set the air conditioning and other things like the time. I don't know if you had any problems with this, do you know how to set it? thank you.
Recently did this and it works good and sounds better then my am fm tuner I used before this
cons- reboot takes awhile (yes I have the android 12 version)
Rear defrost/mirror defrost does not have an option so it doesn’t work
Seat heaters and coolers do not work (I think they are constantly on low now)
Even with gps connected the maps only work when I’m connected with my phone /internet ,
Fitment is off and no a “washer” will not fix this, either you can make the sides line up and have a gap up top or vice versa
Pros
Cheaper then getting a new nav stereo
Looks good
Retains steering control functions
Equalizer is a million times better then the Lexus factory software
Styling looks oem

Also I’m pretty sure that head unit has an eq and you can turn down the bass

How does sound quality compare with the factory head unit, I've seen some videos of similar units and they all had an issue with sound quality getting bad after the swap.

I was thinking about updating my IS as well but I saw some reviews that said it effected the sound quality. If you could, can you do an updated video later on and how you fixed the AC?
Go into the extra settings I believe the code is 123456 and turn it on there, you'll select the check marks

I have the same unit and couldn’t figure out the climate controls for the longest time. You have to go under the extra settings and choose the correct canbus setting to get the climate control display to show.

You should buy some tesa tape to clean up that wiring or at least just to use in the future. It makes the wiring look like it came from factory.

Climate control and hazard lights don’t work so far as I noticed but there is no instructions anywhere that shows wire hook up so I was guessing the whole time
The head unit looks good and sounds decent; if anything it sounds a little louder than stock but does need tuning...What sucks is that you cannot control the AC through the app that's built into the head unit the buttons to adjust fan speed and stuff work, but I have no idea was mode or temps my air conditioner/ heater is on.
Go to car set and mess with the protocol settings. I had the same issue

I gave up bro I literally tried everything from factory resetting to trying every different Canbus protocol I just wanted back to my factory radio, hopefully, your unit is still within the return window @@JayE36M3
@The_dfish I did this and had no luck... I think this is why some suppliers specify if you have a base model radio or an OEM nav radio. I think the unit I got was meant for an OEM nav unit but my car has a base radio which I think is causing this problems. Even in the CAN settings, there were no options for it.

You’d think this install is straight forward but it isn’t. I’m trying to install this radio with no instructions but it’s seems as if I’m missing screws because how the hell do attach everything together?!!!!

I have the full screen unit that replaces the cd player and hoping I don't regret buying this one. If the type you have retains the CD players functions, then I'm going to be kicking myself a lil bit bc ima old school dude with some pretty sweet 90s CDs lol.

I’m seriously considering getting one of these head units for my 2008 is 350. Do you have the problem of the temps being displayed in “c” rather than “f” and how’s the wireless apple car play and reverse cam functionality?
I’m having trouble with this head unit like many people in the reviews on Amazon. The Air condition buttons don’t work as well as the functions on the A/C app.
I’m emailing back and forth with tech support in China but it’s slow going.

@@vivianmalhiers The sound quality is good and I haven’t even played around with the EQ yet. The wireless CarPlay works perfect.
My 2 issues are the A/C not functioning and the volume control on the steering wheel not working.
It’s basically a jigsaw puzzle because there are no install instruction. Only a cheap wire diagram they send you.

I've ordered the 10" "tesla" screen head unit a week ago and now (while waiting forever on deliver) am curious about how this new unit will handle the security alarm and AC controls. There could be other features incorporated into the oem radio, I'm hoping that I didn't order a head unit that I can use bc it looks great.
Tesla screen is cool but whenever you try to watch Netflix, it’s not gonna be full screen ,

Head unit should work with rear view camera as there was cables for it. Mine didn't have a backup camera so didn't have to install anything on my end
Hi, where did you get the center carbon fiber below the shift knob? The one I have has a terrible fit. 😊
All interior pieces are DIY carbon fiber wrapped
can you confirm if the buttons on the steering wheel work?
They work but the scan/ song change buttons are flipped, next is back and back is next
I got a similar unit, so far so good except for the back-up camera is not working and not internet when I try RUclips/google, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can send videos.
I plugged everything up right but I cannot get the screen to turn on! The green lights illuminate around the buttons but that’s it. Any help or suggestions

Hey I have the same head unit . Just having a hard time to get it to turn on all the connections are there for the most part ... When the car is not on it's showing me a lock 🔒 on the bottom right .. when I do turn on the car I don't get no response ... Hopefully you can help me out

Definitely possible. There was a plug for the back up camera but my car didn't come with a backup camera so didn't have a need to install one
Intalled this in my 07 IS250 but every now and then the unit lowers the volume to 22. Its annoying, have you experienced anything like this?
If I have the OEM multimedia screen and swap it with this one, will the Mark Levinson system still work as usual without decreased sound quality?
Should still work as usual. May need to adjust the settings on the screen a little but not too difficult to do

did you install backup camera as well with the head unit?
My car didn't have the backup camera originally so didn't install it on this one. There were cords connected to the unit for the backup camera

There is a mess of wires, you will have a couple that are not used. I would suggest identifying the ones that will be used by clicking them into the ones that fit the cars (they only fit were they need to go). Take the unit back out and sit on a bench the way he did. Tie and tuck those not used then install.

My 09 is250 does not have a back up camera. Would you know if I will be able to install one with this?
Can anyone help. When I first set it up I had no sound but was working and I had to just keep playing with it and out of no where the sound kicked on. Now a week later the music is playing but no sound again no matter what I try

Those screens are the cheap ones but there decent I put one in my 06250
But I just got a 11 250
And apparently I can’t install one because I have the ac with nav?? Anyone know any options

I purchased this model, and followed your vid for the install. The issue I am having is the hazard button (Red Triangle) doesn't work. Any recommendations?? All other physical buttons seem to function

@TheKevin mcwill After a while, mine had a faulty cable. I contacted the seller for a replacement. It has worked since. Although recently, i have been having issues with the fan buttons, havent looked into it yet

You need to connect to the internet and update try this Please do the following: connect internet first, and then do Settings-Factory--8888--Model Choose--LuZheng-Lexus-IS-Public-ok

Volume control unfortunately is disabled right now. I'll be giving a review of the full unit in the next couple weeks and see if I can get it working
I have this unit in my 06 is250 and all works fine AC control and my steering wheel controls work fine no issues

Can you check to see if your fan speeds change with the controls on the head unit? I bought the same unit and can't figure out why my CC/HVAC controls don't work. Can't change speed, mode, or temperature. It's got me really stumped.

@@johnnypham823 yes, turns out it was the wrong canbus adapter... you need to specify if the car is USDM or not

@TheDomrsim you just need to specify beforehand that your car is north american, and whether or not the original hesd unit was the base or nav head unit so that it has the right canbus protocol, slight difference in the nav units and standard radio units
