I agree with him Ram always underachieved on its logos, especially the stitching in their Laramie Longhorns, but that's all brands eith the western theme. The brown leather should be black or a darker brown imo
Definitely agree with you. I would actually prefer the ram logo on the front to be blacked out as well. You want shiny chrome / silver buy a Laramie. Off roading you dont want shiny glinty and "look at me" badging., shiny has never been associated with tough, which is what the Rebel is all about, and for the love of GOD STOOOOOP restricting exhaust sound!! Also agree that the mirrors should be paint matched to the truck and not the cheap plastic look ( they wont be charging you cheap plastic prices to replace them). All in all still love my Rebel.

Not everyone likes shiny chrome. I like the black out letters, looks better that way. Chrome is old school. And they do have step for the back. Yours just didnt get that option a.d the mpg is wrong. They rated that truck to high. It's much lower in reality. And it's not a raptor omg. The Interior of those and all fords are aweful. Dodge has the nicest .there are options to have a sunroof too.and usp ports. 53,000 is cheap for trucks ,

Very Nice I can't get that price with the same setup as you I had to down grade to a Big horn and it has everything you have but the panoramic sunroof it just has a pain sunroof and it still came to $51k what the hell am I doing wrong I want the Rebel with a panoramic sunroof.
My experience is on the highway if you use cruse control or have steady foot you can easily get 25 mpg. The interior of these trucks is pretty close to second to none. Very well thought designed interior. Very comfortable seats. Visibility is good. Driver seat also raises.

Looking for a two tone red/black with the air suspension, panaramic moonroof, and Rebel 12 screen. Test drove several TRD Pro's, Raptors, and Rebels. The Rebels were by far the best handling for my taste.

Yo guy, the 2019 Rebel can come with a bed step on the left corner. It can also come with bed lighting and the frame rails for accessories. If you’re going to review a truck, don’t “zonk” it for shit you can get on the truck because you went with the cheap route and cut features out. Start with the fully loaded version and then discuss the pros and cons of that top version.... smh. Additionally, shiny options of a blacked out truck is your opinion, not the direction that the vehicle was going for!
Late to the conversation, but Dirt Diver has a fair point…53k for the Rebel that has the red trimming means you literally only selected the package that lets you get that seat option and nothing else…A 2020 FWD Camry standard costs you almost 30k already and you are saying it like a crew cab rebel package 4x4 capable, designed for off roading is supposed to start at the same price range without options…even in 2009 crew cab trucks never were cheap…people looking for cheap trucks with bells and whistles should just get the Big Horn or Laramie and add all those options they want. When buying trucks they are expensive for their capabilities of towing heavy loads and history of being long lasting engines and durability the luxurious trucks are simply for people who can afford it. Am literally only watching a lot of Rebel reviews cause I just purchased a 2022 fully loaded for 68k. You weren’t being realistic about some of the options for 53k cause those options also don’t exist on most cars that aren’t considered luxury vehicles.
I have a 16 Power Wagon, some bucket head wrecked it for me and the insurance company gave me a Rebel for a loaner. This truck is BAD ASS. If I was in the market for a truck this is where I'd be putting my money. Sorry bro but you have no idea what you are talking about. I know everyone has their opinions but what you are dinging the truck for are things meant for off-roading. The steering wheel controls work great as well
53k is a mid tier rebel. This truck can be spec'ed anywhere from 46k all the way to about 64k. The black out and dull colors on this truck are intentional, its not cheap, its what buyers want. You can zonk it all you want but its not going to change anything. Actually every manufacturer added a blackout package to just about every truck and suv (and even crossover) they sell because of how popular all black is. Also there is an optional bed step thats 195 usd. Its nothing like the competition but it gets the job done. Side note, I'd pay more for a vehicle without a sunroof, there are a LOT of people who still don't like them. They blind you, add weight to the vehicle (the panoramic ones can weigh over 150lbs) and will leak the day your warranty is up. I'd rather take the 1.5k upfront cost and 2k of repairs in 3 years and put it towards the .1mpg improvement for not having it in the first place lol
Raptor....tundra? What are you talking about...the tundra is not an offroad pickup, it doesnt even have lockers, the raptor is pretty much in a different category of pickups... the rebel is badass, i want one and it will probably be my next pickup but the raptor and the zr2 along with the tacoma trd pro are better offroad trucks.
Raiti's Rides after I saw this video. Went to buy myself one diamond black color 😁 this is the “Swiss knife” of trucks. Luxurious interior, good on regular and off road, powerful and good for towing.
My 19 rebel came with running boards, came with bed lights, came with USB and 120v plug in the back, came with full leather seats, a 12 inch infotainment center, dont zonk it if you can get it. That's all stuff you zonked just cuz that truck didnt have it... sweet trucks. Love mine.
I took a trek at my local Dodge dealership, I've seen Rebel's that have Ventilated seats and panoramic sunroof and with running boards. Not to say Rait's was wrong regarding the Rebel. It just seems for that Rebel that he review it didn't have those options.

The Rebel 12 option comes with actual blacked out leather seats, a 12” screen, and much less red on the upholstery. As for all the guys stating there’s been a ton of issues with electrical or recalls, that can be said about most trucks. I’ve seen Toyota’s have issues with trans and electrical, and Chevys are notorious for the “Chevy shake” from the trans/torque converter, and Fords are... well, Fords. Toyota’s are far out dated. I was looking between the Tundra, F-150, Silverado, and RAM. Tundra: outdated design inside and out. What you get for a mid level Tundra you get WAY more truck in the Rebel at a similar price. Tundra will hold it’s value more, but that’s due to Toyota living off of its prior reputation. F-150: even in the lower level F-150s, they are way over priced for a Ford and for what you get. Interior looks like a boring, square farmhand truck. Fords are notorious for breaking down (I’ve owned and still own a 2001 Mustang). Silverado: interior was nice. Very roomy and design was modern. I’ll never buy a Chevy simply due to the Chevy shake that I’ve witnessed in the past first hand and hear that it is still an issue. To the guy who thinks these RAM rebels will be blue booked at 10k after 5 years, please. Most trucks hold their value if maintained well.
I just got my Ram Rebel Crew Cab 4x4 yesterday (6/6/19) and mine came with the USB ports and outlet in the back. Also I got the12” inch UConnect display. Trade my old 08 Chevy Silverado for a Ram Rebel after driving a friends. Is beautiful inside and out in my opinion (got a Red one). Also FYI Ram got huge rebates now, mine was $57K and I got 13k in rebates, so final price $44K and they gave me $8K for my old truck. So I’m a happy Ram owner. I live in Florida but because of business I’ll be going a lot to North Carolina mountains (one of the reasons also for my Rebel choice).
The sunroof is an option, the steps are an option, the outlet in the back seat is an option. Not sure if the air conditioned seats are an option on the Rebel, but it sounds to me like you're not a Rebel kind of customer. Seems like you're more of a Limited customer :D

That's a lvl 1 utility group truck. Running boards are optional in the build. Lvl 2 comes with 12V outlet and USB ports in the back 👍. Do some research before you knock the truck man. I enjoyed your review and gave it a thumbs up.

Great looking truck. For the most part I think Dodge nailed it on this one. I just don't understand why auto makers haven't learned we don't like non functioning grills, intakes, vents, etc. And ease up on the plastic guys. Anyhow, another great video. Have a good one!
I'm pretty sure Bighorn has the bumper step. Idk why they didn't give the rebel that feature, unless its an option. Not sure why this particular Ram didn't have USB port & an outlet for the rear passengers and other 2019s Rebel I've seen were equipped. Perhaps an option again!?

Good Review, However, the blackout is the look of it. The front logo should be black, not gray, some of your "Zonks" are irrelevant. There is a Sunroof option (including a panoramic) running boards are a factory option. rear USB is in a convenience pack. Next time you are doing a review i would ask for a higher tier version so you see the stuff you wan.
If Ram wants to steal Ford and Chevy buyers and be the best seller....put a 6 speed manual in there!! So many of us long for a manual shift 1500 truck again!
Don't like the button shift at all. It should of had a floor shift like the 1794. No sunroof for 53K are you serious. No USB in rear cab... come on it's 2019! Plastic rear bumper, plastic grill and plastic mirror casings. It needs a step bumper as well. It's always a bitch climbing in the back of a truck with the tailgate down without a step bumper. Just too many cons. So I'll pass on this truck. Too bad because it's a beautiful truck. Just missing some important features.
Go drive a 54k dollar trail boss and see what a shit pile that thing is compared to the rebel. The rebel is a steal at 53k compared to the tundra and Silverado

Damn, those are some big-ass trucks you guys have in the States. Trucks like the Ram, F150 etc are exported to Oz, but in LHD, so they have to be converted to RHD. Question: Do parking garages, shopping centre carparks etc, have extra big parking spaces? Because I know these big trucks are very popular in the USA.
Nice looking truck, Joe. I had a Ram 1500 4x4 super cab with that 8 speed tranny. I hated it because driving around town in 35 to 45 miles an hour speed zones, the damn thing was shifting into 7th and or 8th gear. The engine was running below 1700 rpms, it had no get up and go, without flooring it to force it to down shift. Other than that I liked the truck. Nice presentation though, thanks. Keep em' comin'.
USA has really nice trucks. Here in Europe these are called pick up trucks. There are models such as the Toyota hilux, Nissan navara, Ford ranger, Ford ranger wild trak and raptor, vw Amarok, Isuzu dmax, Mitsubishi l200.

Blacked out emblems gives it that more aggressive look. Chrome would make it look dated. But if that's what you like.

My 19 rebel came with running boards, came with bed lights, came with USB and 120v plug in the back, came with full leather seats, a 12 inch infotainment center, dont zonk it if you can get it. That's all stuff you zonked just cuz that truck didnt have it... sweet trucks. Love mine.
I think its a lot of truck for 50K a real off-road truck!

I took a trek at my local Dodge dealership, I've seen Rebel's that have Ventilated seats and panoramic sunroof and with running boards. Not to say Rait's was wrong regarding the Rebel. It just seems for that Rebel that he review it didn't have those options.

Ventilated seats were not an option on the 2019 Rebel, sunroof yes, ventilated seats no.

The Rebel 12 option comes with actual blacked out leather seats, a 12” screen, and much less red on the upholstery. As for all the guys stating there’s been a ton of issues with electrical or recalls, that can be said about most trucks. I’ve seen Toyota’s have issues with trans and electrical, and Chevys are notorious for the “Chevy shake” from the trans/torque converter, and Fords are... well, Fords.
Toyota’s are far out dated. I was looking between the Tundra, F-150, Silverado, and RAM.
Tundra: outdated design inside and out. What you get for a mid level Tundra you get WAY more truck in the Rebel at a similar price. Tundra will hold it’s value more, but that’s due to Toyota living off of its prior reputation.
F-150: even in the lower level F-150s, they are way over priced for a Ford and for what you get. Interior looks like a boring, square farmhand truck. Fords are notorious for breaking down (I’ve owned and still own a 2001 Mustang).
Silverado: interior was nice. Very roomy and design was modern. I’ll never buy a Chevy simply due to the Chevy shake that I’ve witnessed in the past first hand and hear that it is still an issue.
To the guy who thinks these RAM rebels will be blue booked at 10k after 5 years, please. Most trucks hold their value if maintained well.

I just got my Ram Rebel Crew Cab 4x4 yesterday (6/6/19) and mine came with the USB ports and outlet in the back. Also I got the12” inch UConnect display. Trade my old 08 Chevy Silverado for a Ram Rebel after driving a friends. Is beautiful inside and out in my opinion (got a Red one). Also FYI Ram got huge rebates now, mine was $57K and I got 13k in rebates, so final price $44K and they gave me $8K for my old truck. So I’m a happy Ram owner. I live in Florida but because of business I’ll be going a lot to North Carolina mountains (one of the reasons also for my Rebel choice).

The sunroof is an option, the steps are an option, the outlet in the back seat is an option. Not sure if the air conditioned seats are an option on the Rebel, but it sounds to me like you're not a Rebel kind of customer. Seems like you're more of a Limited customer :D

5,800 pounds is A LOT. My Ram weighs 4,405 pounds and does the same 0-100 in 6.4 seconds. Impressive on that weight

That's a lvl 1 utility group truck. Running boards are optional in the build. Lvl 2 comes with 12V outlet and USB ports in the back 👍. Do some research before you knock the truck man. I enjoyed your review and gave it a thumbs up.

Great looking truck. For the most part I think Dodge nailed it on this one. I just don't understand why auto makers haven't learned we don't like non functioning grills, intakes, vents, etc. And ease up on the plastic guys. Anyhow, another great video. Have a good one!

I'm pretty sure Bighorn has the bumper step. Idk why they didn't give the rebel that feature, unless its an option. Not sure why this particular Ram didn't have USB port & an outlet for the rear passengers and other 2019s Rebel I've seen were equipped. Perhaps an option again!?

This guys is obsessed with Chrome. I’ve have cars with chrome logos and parts and they don’t age very well. I prefer a blacked out version makes it look sick.

Good Review, However, the blackout is the look of it. The front logo should be black, not gray, some of your "Zonks" are irrelevant. There is a Sunroof option (including a panoramic) running boards are a factory option. rear USB is in a convenience pack. Next time you are doing a review i would ask for a higher tier version so you see the stuff you wan.
If Ram wants to steal Ford and Chevy buyers and be the best seller....put a 6 speed manual in there!! So many of us long for a manual shift 1500 truck again!

Don't like the button shift at all. It should of had a floor shift like the 1794. No sunroof for 53K are you serious. No USB in rear cab... come on it's 2019! Plastic rear bumper, plastic grill and plastic mirror casings. It needs a step bumper as well. It's always a bitch climbing in the back of a truck with the tailgate down without a step bumper. Just too many cons. So I'll pass on this truck. Too bad because it's a beautiful truck. Just missing some important features.

this it looks great, ram now has the barn doors with the step , to me this was designed to beat the raptor , but when ram releases the ram rebel trx with hellcat engine that will be king

FCA did a nice job on this redesign the speedometer cluster dose look the same as my 2017 rebel but over all nice interior

Damn, those are some big-ass trucks you guys have in the States. Trucks like the Ram, F150 etc are exported to Oz, but in LHD, so they have to be converted to RHD.
Question: Do parking garages, shopping centre carparks etc, have extra big parking spaces? Because I know these big trucks are very popular in the USA.

The tundra is old. Needs an update bad. I just got a rebel last month. Love it. Didn't even consider the tundra.

Nice looking truck, Joe. I had a Ram 1500 4x4 super cab with that 8 speed tranny. I hated it because driving around town in 35 to 45 miles an hour speed zones, the damn thing was shifting into 7th and or 8th gear. The engine was running below 1700 rpms, it had no get up and go, without flooring it to force it to down shift. Other than that I liked the truck. Nice presentation though, thanks. Keep em' comin'.

There are models such as the Toyota hilux, Nissan navara, Ford ranger, Ford ranger wild trak and raptor, vw Amarok, Isuzu dmax, Mitsubishi l200.

You should have reviewed the 2019 Rebel 12 man
lowest trim rebel, hates that it doesn't have all the same options. Review one with a level 2 equipment package.
For $52,000 it should have it!

They're normally is USB ports in the back all the ram rebels that I looked at had the 2 to4 USB ports in the back
