As simple and unassuming as their lifestyle may be, I’ll bet these same trails have been in use for thousands of years . Finding a remote meadow in a wilderness for your goats to graze will not be forgotten by these people . They may not have access to much modern medicine, but neither do they have to decide on McDonalds or Kentucky Fried, and obviously no lack of exercise from daily exertions . Continuing this lifestyle probably has many secondary health benefits, but would be interested in their longevity !

They take their sheep to the mountains in the summer because here in Iran the summer is hot in the lowlands and the grass dries so they go to the mountainous areas for fresh grass in the summer and to the areas where there is no road. They go to the top of the mountains and they are probably near their sheep or preparing to bring them

I still cannot understand how they travel like this without tripping over their dresses! If I wear a long dress like that it is hard to work and walk because I am always stepping on the front of it.
@@wandering-free I'm sure they're used to the idea of scaling mountains as they have done it since childhood. I imagine they're used to heights. I wonder who put those wires and tree ladders in place. Must be a well travelled place. But I declare, I have worn long dresses and especially if attempting to work at all or walk on uneven ground, I keep stepping on the front of it. Totally frustrating.
