Hay, thanks for taking the time to show how to break it down. I thought this was going to be messy and end up costing as much as ready to go, but I can see this could be fun. What do you find is the best rosin to use? Another guy on RUclips says the German Kalafonia rosin is the only one to use, but that is costly here in the U.S. Jeff
Oh ok. I just added isopropyl to the pine sap and noticed alot of it dissolved but a few gummy chunks didnt. Most of the dirt settled to the bottom and ive just been pouring off the top, if you heat it to 300 how much sticks to your pan? Seems like it would be hard to clean.
can i use gum rosin/isense they kinda look and feel like those solid rosin bought at electronic stores

Hey Jeff, I personally have used any old pine Rosin and it’s worked well for me. Very very cheap btw too. Good luck!

Which concentration of alcohol (isopropyl) are you using ? 95% ? 90% ? 70 % ? etc.
Can i use pine tree rosin? . Because i have private land with pine trees , IPA and i also have Glycerin .
Yes you can, but you must heat the resin sap till it’s thin enough to strain with coffee filters and once it’s dry you will have the rosin left over.
