I feel like if we had the day stages from Sonic Unleashed, and the Modern stages from Generations, we would have one of the best 3D Modern Sonic games.

Zaki Alayashi I think I've heard somewhere that they confirmed that no SA3 is or will be in production. Sad to hear, but oh well I guess. I mean, honestly, if they get the people behind Generations' level design, fix Hedgehog Engine 2's physics and bring back drifting, I will be happy. I mean, I know I'm gonna be happy anyways, considering I'm almost certain a Mania-like game will be coming out in the upcoming years, so that's good for the 2D-fan in me, but I do hope to see a 3D game as well. And like, if they put Chistian behind the 2D games and Sonic Team behind the 3D games, they could release games more frequently!
You know what they should’ve done with Generations? Make it only one Sonic but he changes his appearance and abilities to reflect what era he is in. So Classic would have no boost, Lightspeed Dash, or homing attack. Just good old spindashing and look like Classic Sonic. Dreamcast Era he would look like himself from Adventure 2 and have the Lightspeed Dash and homing attack added in his arsenal but no boost necessitating use of Super Sonic against Perfect Chaos. Finally, the Modern Era would be his current appearance with the Stomp and boost once he got to Unleashed and transform into the Werehog in the fight against the Egg Dragoon.
Aether Warrior I personally don't think 06 is as bad as most people say it is. If there is a truly horrible Sonic game out there (in my opinion), it would be Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric.

Something I ABSOLUTELY HATE about the boost games is how suddenly he comes to a stop at the goal... I mean seriously SEGA, you couldn’t bother to just make a skidding animation and put some particle effects in for him kicking up dust as he comes to a stop?...
SonicBlox Perfect Chaos is from the Dreamcast Era.... and I didn't do Egg Dragoon as I was merely focusing on stages rather than bosses. And also in Sonic Unleashed you faced Egg Dragoon as a werehog and is different than how you faced him in Generations.
