I believe this is The Best Performance of TOTO throughout their career !! ’Cos Tom Kelly plays with them ! He plays the rhythm guitar and sings back vocals in high notes above Bobby ! Sounds Excellent!!
Bobby Kimball did an amazing job, as he always did when he was with ToTo, Its a shame that he left. Even though Joseph Williams is great also. My favorite band!!!! always has been, always will be.
My hometown, loved this band and the WMMS lead in. Not sure what to think about the Japanese audio, other than, they loved ToTo like the rest of us. I followed this band from the jump, RIP Jeff and Mike Porcaro. Jeff was such a hammer on the drums and played with everyone. Started from a very young age as well.
I love this! These guys are so great at playing music! And it's like im watching a bunch of nerds pretend to be rock-stars xD These guys are so underrated
Setlist: 00:00 Childs anthem, band intro. 01:00 Girl goodbye. 07:14 Manuela run. 11:15 Tale of a man. 14:51 Rockmaker. 18:18 I’ll supply the love. 22:32 Hold the line. 30:14 Hey little girl. 35:38 Georgy porgy. 40:50 All us boys.
+J Rush It was in St. Paul, but i cant remember the place. Possibly Roy Wilkins auditorium. It was an auditorium in St Paul somewhere. Sorry, it was so long agao :)
Let me ask you a question.Do you remember what specific day the concert was?.Apparently it was February 2, 1979, although there is a promotional poster, where it says that day, TOTO played in Chicago, and this Cleveland concert was on February 4th.Thank you in advance.
@@jnoelda6315 most definitely Friday the 2nd, I was a senior in high school and had to work on Saturday...it was a tough row to hoe getting to work on time!
Probably the best incarnation of this legendary band. Ever. The line 'We're getting older, and acting bolder' from All Us Boys were a prediction to the state of this band 43 years later..
Paich, Lukather, Kimball, Hungate, Kelly, Castro, Porcaro brothers. IMO, that is one of the most brilliant group of musicians ever.
🎯
totally agree
I never get tired of listening to this. Nothing like it anymore. Brilliant!

My first concert in 79' was Toto in St. Paul. Fantastic. Although they don't list the concert on SetList FM, it did in fact occur!

The Agora and WMMS always brought the best bands into Cleveland back in the 70's and early 80's. Clevelanders love their ROCK.
Dave Hungate was a bass genius
