- Saint Charles Towne Center Mall in Waldorf, MD isn't exactly what it used to be. Restaurants have left, Sears is gone, even Old Navy and the Disney Store have long since packed their bags. Is it even worth going to the mall anymore?

I transferred from Sears Landover to Sears Waldorf when it was built.
I waitressed at that Ruby Tuesdays fresh out of high school. God, I'm getting old lol
I live in Clinton, Maryland. I love Saint Charles Towne Center mall in Waldorf, Maryland. I went to the mall last summer to eat at Sabarro's Pizza in food court area. I love the food court area. My only problem with Saint Charles Towne Center mall is the expensive shoes stores Finish Line, Champs, Foot Locker. I'm gonna buy Nike Air black shoes from Amazon computer website. I hope Saint Charles Towne Center mall stays open a long time. I like the movie theater, Walmart, Pizza Hut that's close to the mall. Young people of this generation is reason malls are closing in america. Young people would rather buy clothes and shoes on computer instead of spending money at the mall. I miss Randall Park mall that closed in my hometown Cleveland, Ohio.
Please bring back malls!
St.Charles County deserves a place to congregate and enjoy themselves!

People nowadays need to reconnect and get involved communicating to other people. Sure there are other ways to get out the house. But it seems we're pushing separation. I feel like malls and other places are important to see people and how they interact. When I was in my teens in nyc. We had so many playgrounds with monkey bars etc... those have been replaced with buildings. So I say that to say now they're taking the fun out of being in the mall even if its window shopping for some. It's therapeutic in a way when getting out the house. People wanna shop online and then go outside with social anxiety. If malls suck now to people then we need to reinvent or reconstruct how we see a mall. Put more social activities in there, some shopping, add things to the movie theater. Make movie theater subscriptions and win prizes etc.. we need to be creative and make people smile more and be more happy. Covid took away some things too and we need to bring fun back. Bring it back with a little security too because we have those out there who aren't to social and like to terrorize. That needs to be addressed starting with the parents and doctors to make sure they get mental therapy. I could go on and on lol but we need our malls
I agree. Malls don't need to be going outta business. Young people now are too lazy to spend money at the mall. They would rather buy clothes, shoes, video games on the computer. I love Saint Charles Towne Center mall in Waldorf, Maryland. I hope Saint Charles Towne Center never closes. I went to the mall last summer to eat pizza in food court area. I went to the movie theater that's down the street from the mall last summer to see The Equalizer 3 with Denzel Washington and The Expendables 4 with Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham. My only problem with the mall is shoes stores are very expensive like Champs, Finish Line, Foot Locker. I'm gonna have to buy Nike Air black shoes from Amazon computer website next spring.
@@keithwitcher5130The DMV doesn't want to cater to black communities especially when it comes to retail because a lot of theft and disturbance of the peace is going to come to the neighborhood.
A lot of people from Washington DC travel to the malls on the outskirts of the district and they bring a lot of negativity.
It's very unfortunate and sad but people have to stop mistreating their community and be grateful for what they have because every community needs a shopping mall and eatery!
Malls provide a since of community and something to look forward to and it also creates memories!

The malls needs to hire more security guards and pg police so that the st charles county residents can be protected when shopping and be able to preserve this landmark!
DC and MD depend on shopping centers for a get away and for food,clothes,goods,furniture, variety,and human interaction!
Please have a community meeting stating what stores,eateries,events,and purpose you want the mall to serve!
It's time for Southern PG county residents to advocate for your community needs and wants.
Why should you have to commute farther away from home to enjoy yourself.
Senior citizens , families ,and teenagers deserve access to a mall where you can sit down inside and enjoy yourself and then wait to be picked up!
