    Thanx Tracy, cleard up some issues i've experienced with "self application". I mean, i've been doing my own nails (tips/full) since i was twelve and could never quite get rid of those bubbles... But i have tried this method, and it is by far the best...

    I never realized the fitting problem until trying out glue-on nails. I thought they should be the same width as my nails but I was very wrong... It was uncomfortable and kept popping. Wish that I watched this videos at that time.

    The nail salons in my town needs to take some notes from yall!👏👏👏
    I really want to open a nail salon here because I know it would make good money. Since I've moved here and realized how much the salons here suck I started doing my own nails and the amount of people who asked me where I got my nails done and I told them it was me and they asked me to do their nails I couldnt even tell you. I'm not qualified to do other peoples nails though I'm just self taught through youtube. I want to go to nail school and open a salon here where I live with young nails products!!🤗🤗

    Thank you for this video. I myself have never used tips on a client. However I have tried numerous times to put a tip on myself in the last 13 years that I have been a nail tech. I have never ever had success for some reason the tips will not adhere. I have used many different nail glue’s but was never trained how to do this. Now I know that the reason the tips will not adhere is because I didn’t prep the nail first before I tried to glue on the tip LOL. Rookie mistake although I was trained to sculpt nails and not to glue on tips. I can’t wait to try this after the holiday merry Christmas to you and yours and happy New Year’s 😊🎄

      Are you sixzing the tips so they are fitting without having to press them down with a lot of pressure? If you are pressing a lot then that could mean you are sizing too small and that will lead to pocket lifting.
      If the nail is between sizes, always choose the larger size and then file to fit.

    Would those curved tips be helpful for me with ski slope nails? Although I am proficient with your forms (best forms ever) I would like the option of tips sometimes.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад +1

      With ski sloped nails, we do recommend cutting the free edge as short as possible and sculpting with the forms rather than tips, but if you are wanting to use tips, you can. Since our quarter well tips have a curve to them, they can help to mask that upward slope. However, with any application, you will have to clip them off every so often and re-sculpt to keep them from sloping upward

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  3 года назад +1

      we put it on after applying the tips. Protein Bond is a non acid primer.. it doesn’t chemically etch the nail like a traditional primer does. Protein stays sticky.. sticks to the natural nail and then sticks the product.

    Can you apply these without using acrylic overlay? If there a way to do these all gels, or even with regular polish?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад +1

      With quarter well tips, you would need some kind of enhancement over them for strength and durability. If they are just applied with no product over them, there is a greater chance of them breaking off. You can use a hard gel over them or if you are just doing a shorter/active set, you can use gel polish/Fiber Gel but make sure to build up the stress area for support.

    • @youngnailsinc

      You want to make sure the tip does go all the way from sidewall to sidewall. In the video, the tip looks like it's farther onto the skin than it actually is because the camera is so high definition. As you are sizing, you can file off the edges before adhering it to the nail if they hang over too far .

      Yes but what to do if there's a air bubble when gluing the tip, that is what's the solution?

    • @k_3911
      @k_3911 5 лет назад

      @@sarazee314 hahaha No answer from her yet? I know exaaaactly what you mean Sara it's SO frustrating. I've looked _everywhere_ for what to do to get rid of an air bubble but it seems like alot of people don't know. I guess since stylists have access to tons of tips they don't worry about it as much but if it's self-application alot of times you'll only have your one tip. Please let me know if you find a solution I've tried to figure it out so many times.

    That’s crazy the videos I watch RUclips are nothing like what I’m learning in class!! I was taught today that we HAVEEE to use proper nail cutters also we CANT file the nail back in forth in see saw motion that it has to be in one direction no wonder so many people are failing state board tests 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

      definitely a time & place for whats learned in beauty school. you are there to fulfill hours and learn sanitation what you learn after school will be to dial in your technique. think of beauty school as high school then continuing education courses with brands as being college.

    Do you need to put gel on top or can you just use nail polish?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  4 года назад

      You would need some kind of a builder gel/acrylic over a tip. The tip alone is not strong enough to last alone.

    So with the tip you put gel polish on top of it ?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад

      With a tip like this you would apply product like acrylic or hard gel on top and then gel polish. You wouldn't apply gel polish to just the natural nail and this type of tip.
      You can also apply our full cover tips that go over the entire nail and then those you can apply gel polish straight to them.

    Where is the prepping? I have been doing nails for 3 years and usually favour forms. I keep having problems. I have used many tips and different glues. I am finding they won't stick. The glue won't set.

      If you are using hard gel over them, yes as gel doesn’t like a smooth surface. If using acrylic you could but you don’t have to.
