  • Over the course of perhaps the most unfathomable half-inning in baseball history, the Blue Jays strung together one of the most remarkable comebacks the game has ever seen - a comeback punctuated by a transcendent home run that turned a franchise great into an icon and provided a generation of fans across an entire country with a Joe Carter moment of their own.

We really should have won the World Series that year. What a year that was for us Blue Jays

The team was built around hitting home runs and when bats went cold during the ALCS they couldn't score runs. Great teams find other ways to win ball games, hey weren't good enough to win the WS.

      Jays needed better pitching.

@@GerritCoulter the pitching definitely could of been better but the main issue in 15 and 16 were the bats going cold, the Cleveland series was especially Brutal

The 2015 Royals were the first team to show that bullpen matters more than starting pitching in the playoffs, especially after the second time through the order.

Y'all really did this moment justice. Felt like a release of frustration from all Toronto sports fans. It was one of the greatest games I've seen in any sport.

I watched every game live on TV or in person from June onwards. I loved that 2015 team so much. I still hate Texas in 2023 due to the Jays playoff series against them in 15 and 16.

Baseball has was an afterthought in Toronto since early to mid 90s. Younger generation grew up not caring at all about the Jays because they were always terrible. This team showed the whole country how exciting a great baseball team is again

I swear put Toronto ( except for the leads for obvious reasons) an intense situations where we're going to fuck up a playoff run or a game and trust me I clearly tell you now they will come back and pull up surprise upset for the opposite team

Imagine if the Blue Jays had a good manager in those years... sure MLB would still have tried to cheat them(like the Martin's throw where the batter clearly had his bat over the plate or the fan that caught the ball below the top of the wall in KC that was called a HR), but they could have beaten KC too and then who knows...

Great job on the video... only thing I didn't like was the whole "with the exception of Carter's walk off" comment.. The bat flip doesn't compare and people shouldn't even try.. What did the Jays go on to do in 2015? They didn't win. While it was a great moment, it's not in the same galaxy as Carter's walk off.

too bad david price was a flop during the playoffs, bats couldn't hit anything, the rain delay and then the generous strike call on ben revere against KC, end of the day, they just weren't good enough

Since the Texas Rangers threw a pitch a Bautista when he had every right to flip his bat the Rangers will never ever win a World Series I guarantee.
