  • @Cwm368
    @Cwm368 6 лет назад +23

    Pip was such a great player, great teammate. Jordan realized how important Pippen. Pip earned Mj trust. Not easy to do. MJ was the man but Pip was the glue for those teams. He could have avg 25 easily but that was not him. He loved to get everyone involved.

    • @geekmuscle657
      @geekmuscle657 6 лет назад +9

      Cwm368 25ppg easy for Pippen? In the seasons Jordan left the highest he got was 22ppg he wasn't a great scoring player

    • @Cwm368
      @Cwm368 6 лет назад +6

      Zo Empire If you read what I said he could have avg 25 but he was not all about scoring. And yes he could score, are you not looking at this game or the 47 point game he had or the 40 point game he had against pacers in 1996?

    • @geekmuscle657
      @geekmuscle657 6 лет назад +7

      Cwm368 So a handful of good scoring game is the basis for your argument? Kerr said it best "Pippen is a sometimes shooter" meaning sometimes his shot would be on sometimes it wouldn't. His jumpshot was inconsistent. Pippen in his prime wasn't even a decent free throw shooter. Pippen didn't have the offensive repertoire to avg 25ppg

    • @Cwm368
      @Cwm368 6 лет назад +5

      Zo Empire Yes he did. He improved his shooting, could hit 3s... post.. dunk... he just was so unselfish. Plus he played with the greatest score and Goat all time for to years.

    • @geekmuscle657
      @geekmuscle657 6 лет назад +4

      Cwm368 Could hit 3s with the line moved back but before that his highest was 32%, He improved his jumpshot but it was still inconsistent Steve Kerr said it on the Front Court show or in a interview. Pippen wasn't great in the post, struggled to make free throws. The only legit excuse he has is that Jordan was the main offensive weapon on the Bulls.

    Isiah's ankle injury in the Boston series really messed up the Pistons because he was just coming back from his wrist surgery gearing up and then game 1 vs. Boston - Dee Brown and Thomas was not the same at all.

      @@kamfisher1714 So he should blame himself for wrist surgery and Dee Brown stepping on his ankle in game 1 in the ECSF vs. Boston in 1991? ... I'm glad you said this about Zeke blaming himself because it proves my point concerning the Pistons/Bulls in 1991 that Isiah Thomas on purpose took 9 shots in game 1 and 9 shots in game 2 and Joe Dumars on purpose took 10 shots in game 1 and 10 shots in game 3 and Bill Laimbeer ON PURPOSE took 7 shots in game 1 and 2 shots in game 2 and Chuck Daly ON PURPOSE played James Edwards 11 minutes in game 2 and 9 minutes in game 3 while playing John Salley 9 minutes in game 2 -- these things were done by the Pistons ON PURPOSE, just like the 'walk-off' was done, 'ON PURPOSE'.... This is HOW the Pistons took care of themselves -- they went out on their own terms ON PURPOSE from the GM, Jack McCloskey who broke up the team in the summer of 1991 by waiving Vinnie Johnson (ON PURPOSE) and trading James Edwards to the Clippers (ON PURPOSE). Just like ON PURPOSE Jerry Krause said if Phil goes 82-0 and wins the title he will NOT be back for the 1998-99 season and just like ON PURPOSE Jordan chose to quit and just like ON PURPOSE the Bulls decided to keep competing for titles after 1993 upon Jordan's return in '95 by getting rid of everyone from the 1991-1993 team outside of Pippen, who wanted to be traded but they kept him ON PURPOSE.... Just like Jordan ON PURPOSE came back to play for the Wizards, a bad team, just like ON PURPOSE Thomas decided to stay with a bad Detroit Pistons team after 1991 knowing, just like Jordan in 2002 that they were not going to win or compete for titles anymore -- hey look, palindrome years (1991, 2002) See?

      @@poligonzo5300 dude where the hell you getting this trash you talking. Phil used MJ's ego through psychology to get him to less shots and have to offense to run by Pippen and that documented. Phil want to run the triangle offense to rest team involve in the offense and curve Jordan from going one on one. Plus its well documented that split the game into quarters for MN and Pippen. Pippen did most of scoring in the 1st and 3rd quarters, while Jordan had 2nd and 4th quarters. With last 5 minutes were MJ to please him. And nowhere was it ever said or written that Pippen was ever scared of MJ. And I been watching seen 87 on WGN after school!
