One of the things I like about this video is seeing how the silhouettes go together. Also I like the reminders of projects that I might of forgotten and be inspired all over again .

ABSOLUTELY love your channel. I always learn sometimes new. Most recently, the value of basting
Glad you enjoy it! I think basting is that thing that you start appreciating the more you sew. I don't always do it, but when in doubt I find now I will almost always opt for itt. About 10 years ago I would chance it, and then probably end up ripping the seam, but fast forward to today I have learned my lesson, lol :)

I must have liked this; I was so surprised the time went so quickly! There are so many of your outfits that I liked. My favorite flower is the daisy, so I was naturally drawn to the skort. And, as a person who loves plaid, especially in non-traditional colors, I’m sure you know where this is going. Those up cycled shorts look so cute
I REALLY enjoyed this video. I loved seeing all the ways you used the same pattern in different ways one right after the other. Was easier to see the BIG picture of your sewing and what you are teaching. I do plan to become a member. I am working on our budget to budget it in.
Love your super cute and fun wardrobe. Your creativity and passion shows through. I love dresses and skirts for summer and found I can do all the things in them. Just wear biker shorts underneath. I would love to see more videos making them in the future. Love this type of video for different seasons.

I have been so inspired by you. I just finished creating my first all original top. I simply followed your process… thought it out as I went, used scraps to test things (saved my butt!) and it actually turned out great.
Now I’m drawing all kinds of ideas. A new fashion designer at age 55!
Love seeing the full set! It helps me see how to diversify what to sew
I'm impressed how good your garments look after a few years! I stain my clothes so easily. I have to avoid white like the plague. 😂
So what I do, and that's just how I was raised and I do that now with my daughter, I have outside clothes, the ones that you saw in the video, and then I have house clothes, usually just a pair of pants and a shirt, or shorts and a t-shirt. Those get stained rather quickly after doing dye work, and crafts and just house hold stuff. That way my daughter does not have to be always cautious of getting something on herself when she is being creative, and the "outside" clothes last way longer. I do use aprons for crafts as well, but you know... they only help to a degree :)

Thank you for your inspiration especially with pattern making. I’ve been sewing for myself for 65 years. Patterns are getting so expensive I have enough to last me the rest of my life. However I wanted a pocket on a pair of shorts, well you inspired me to create my own pocket. You can teach an “old some new tricks”

This was a fun video. So many youtubers seem to make clothes that they can't wear very easily. Have you ever made a coat? Something heavier like that would be interesting too. ❤
I love all of your makes but the green pants are amazing. I was given several pairs of jeans, none in my size so I'm going to be doing some re makes with them. Most will be some sort of pants maybe some household things too, all of this denim are heavier weight and much too heavy for a shirt but I might be able to make a topper with one of the pairs.
Thank you so much! Oh, denim upcycles can be fun, but you're right - they tend to be heavier items and garments. I did however make a little dress for my daughter from my husband's old jeans, the top is denim and the skirt is cotton/linen and she has been wearing it for 2 years I think, so that could be an idea. here's a video of denim upcycles I did years ago - ruclips.net/video/QK6eMWIFQwY/видео.html
@@ThoughtfulCreativity I was given at least 6 pairs, so I have a lot to work with. I got a pair of electric scissors as a gift and they are so nice for the heavier fabric. They cut right through even those heavy seams that can be so difficult. I have an issue with my thumb joint so a lot of cutting can be painful but now it's almost fun to cut away.

Pair your upcycle with a bright color, for a peekaboo affect.
Actually wearing long sleeved shirts and long pants in summer is very convenient, you don't have to apply SPF creams all over your body before taking a walk. Just some on hands and face 😄

Yes, I wear long sleeves and skirts all summer. I even find it keeps me a little cooler once the heat reaches a certain point since the sun doesn't directly reach my skin. If you look at people who live in the desert, their traditional clothing usually covers most of the body and they must know what's up.

This is a great video. I love all of your pieces and the way you style them. I especially like the sides of the fabric scrap green T-shirt with the ties on the side- so cute! And the different ways you make the same pants pattern. I’m inspired. I don’t have to fit five pants patterns, just one. is the shirt with the grown on sleeves for the blue outfit knit or woven? my holy grail fabric is a woven T-shirt pattern that isn’t boxy, but can be taken on and off over the head and anything from silk to Cotton to rayon fabrics can be used. I’ll watch any videos you make!

I love this. If you're looking for ideas i would love to see your collection of jackets and coats. We are having an awful summer in my country, muggy and winterish and its so difficult to know what type of jacket to wear. I would love to see some with different levels of skills required.
