    Installation was easier than I initially thought it would be, but once I separated the hardware it came together quite easily. I like the thinner aluminium profile of these boards. It also gives the truck a custom look since these boards aren't mass produced like the stock running boards are. I also like the fact that these boards being aluminum, won't rust. These boards cost less than half of the price of the stock running boards too. I would recommend these running boards to anyone looking for a sleek, clean, affordable running board.

    I have a 2007 Toyota Tundra with aftermarket boards. They are holding up well but it's the brackets that look terrible with tons of rust. Looks like your will rust as well ? The boards look awesome !

      My buddy was saying that about bracket rust from the beginning of the install. The stock brackets have a plastic cover over the metal to at least conceal any rust. Thanks.

    Question, what size stock rims are those and are the tires all terrain? Or mud?

  • @konaok1

    Wouldn't it have been easier to mount the brackets on the frame first, then rest and bolt running boards to the brackets? After finishing watching I see that you guy's smartened up.You may want to invest in a impact wrench. Still a very informative video. Thanks!

      Perhaps we'll see. I'll be doing a second video on these boards soon. I have a 2017 Silverado now and will be installing the 6" iboards on it. Thanks for watching.

    I'm assuming that the parts starting with a "L" means it goes on the left side of the vehicle and the same for parts starting with a "R" goes on the right side. Same methodology for "F" meaning front and "B" meaning back.
    Looks good.

    Would you recommend aluminum over stainless steel?

    • @Paisteboy
      @Paisteboy  4 года назад +1

      The aluminum is much lighter and cheaper so that it what I would consider when making my decision.

    Would you recommend the 6"? Is it too big? Would the 5"be better?

    • @Paisteboy

      Yes. I really like the six inch running boards. There is a link in the description if you're interested.
