Come on man. First off the BrahMos is a export version of the Russian Onyx. Out performs it in every category. Secondly the khinzal is also better then all these other's except zircon. It has a 1500+km range. The zircon has a 1000-1500km range both hypersonic maneuvering. Also the American missiles both have a shorter range then 500km there subsonic and nothing is totally invisible. Russia shooting down stealth storm shadows is a example. We are disastrously behind in middle technology. Just the fact that we are out ranged by 2-3 times should be enough.

No we still don’t have any actual evidence of what type of weapon sunk the Moskva. Ukraine said it was there Neptune but in the early days there were other stories about what sank him.

Yes why the disinformation?? The Moskva was hit by two R-360 Neptune, which are heavily modified KH-35s, modernized by Ukraine, they entered service in 2021. No source in the west has announced any other theory as to which missile was used.

Officially, but - and this is just speculation - finding Moskva with just byraktar would have been hard. Using that information to accurately launch two Neptune missiles would have been harder. Having those two missiles hit Moskva when she had multiple ways of dealing with them is just short of unbelievable.
Considering there was a p-8 floating around 2 NSMs would make everything a lot easier to digest.
Why would they use a US supplied missile when they have a very capable one, and it would be easy for russia to pick up the electronic signature of the NSM .The russians would then know both that they had been attacked with a NATO missile AND they would have had recorded the seekerhead of the NSM,..The latter is the real reason no current block advanced missile has been sent by the US to Ukraine, and the amraams for the F16 will be older models. None of you seem to know anything about ASMs. Neptune is not a copy of KH-35, which is not a copy of Harpoon, which has nothing to do with Exocet.
Missiles are similar because engineers in different countries come up with the same solutions to the same problems. Just because Neptune, KH-35, and Harpoon are all subsonic turbofan-powered low level antiship cruise missiles doesn't mean any of them copied one of the others.
You may as well say they were all copies of the V-1, or the Airbus 380 is just a copy of the Wright Flyer.
If the Hoothis ever unite with the similarly dangerous Blowfish in the north then we will really be in trouble.

Both Brahmos and CX-1 have their origin in Russian anti-ship missiles. That's why they are alike. CX-1 didn't copy India's Brahmos. They both copied Russia instead.

Keep update yourself with latest information before any episode. Brahmos missile now has a range in excess of 300 miles which are under production & Brahmos-LR with a range of 400+ miles is now under testing.
I think the most interesting thing about the Qader is that when the cover is up, it looks just like a normal truck and would likely be extremely difficult to discriminate from civilian traffic.
I think you have NSM confused with Neptune hitting the Moskva. If it wasn’t Neptune harpoon was the only other missile there with the range. It was declared it was Neptune by Ukraine.

But even in Soviet times, no one was going to launch missiles one at a time. Moskit-type missiles (SS-N-22, Sunburn, ASM-MSS) were made for a group attack of several dozen units. The deadliest anti ship missile would be one that combines the speed of the YJ-12 with the stealth of the LRASM.
That hypersonic speed usually means friction creates a big thermal signature that can be spotted far off.
Speed defeats the purpose of stealth. Not only does it make a bigger and brighter infrared target, but also due to the Doppler shift it's more detectable by radar.
I haven't seen anything in the public space regarding LRASM infrared stealth. I am very interested in reading up on this. Do you have a source?

@@MrDJAK777 Low IR signature just means it won't be seen 100km away by IRSTs but against a ship it'll still be easy to spot, especially against the relatively constant background temperature of the sea.
Sir ji brahmos range is now 800 km and speed has also been increased. Stealth coatings has also been developed and tested.

Terminal speed of mach-10 my f**king ass. Nothing can travel at mach 10 that low down in the atmosphere without burning up. The YJ-21 has an actual terminal impact velocity of about mach 4-ish. That's just the physics of air resistance.

The point of delayed detection is making it so the number of missiles launched required to oversaturate a target is much less. Modern warships can track hundres to over a thousand objects in the sky. Just like missiles that fly a sea-skimming profile, they delay detection. Others choose to compress the time to target by making a faster missile
@@apolloaero stealth missiles are not invisible. Not even radar. They are LESS visible to radar. Remember the inverse square law. At CIWS distance, they are visible. If you are doing a sneak attack on a country you are not even at war with, then they wouldn't even be on alert and the CIWS isn't even on (to avoid shooting down things you shouldn't), then you are good. Otherwise, you calculate how many CIWS they have, how long it takes to down each missile, and send more than that number from multiple directions. And you can do that with non-stealth missiles as well. Brahmos cost about 1/500 of one US destroyer (just the bare ship, excluding the stuff loaded on it). China can just shoot off 200 of their clones all at once and still come out ahead.
Eh. The LRASM would be better if it were supersonic while keeping that stealth. Like if it had the speed of the YJ-12 but able to maintain it's stealth it'd easily be the deadliest anti ship missile around.

Don't forget the "Rapid Dragon" version of the LRASM. Also I think the 230 mile range is open to discussion. Don't forget the LRASM is based off the JASSM. There is also JASSM ER. My guess that LRASM is closer to 400 mile range
Hmm I wonder since the USAF was part of the development of the LRASM that it has an AA version/variant. And if that was the one that might have hit the A50 in the sea of Azov. According to reports the russians only discovered the missile that struck the A50 in the last few meters. And reportedly it increased its speed in the final final Fase and only that resulted in the discovery of the missile. So probally it was a very stealthy missile that took that plane out.
A hypothetical missile like that might reintroduce AFT guns in large bombers/planes, until drones replace AWAC functions.
Since Ai probally has the ability to differentiate flares from targets. A radar based aft gun might be able to stop a hypothetical missile like that

Moskva was not hit by the NSM. Last I heard it was Russian cruise missiles modified locally by Ukraine. The other option given what Ukraine have had access to would be the British stealth missile (can't remember the name). Norway has yet to greenlight sales of any NSM weapons to Ukraine.
LRASM is also 🇦🇺. NSM is not available to 🇺🇦.

Also you'd be surprised how effective electro-optical sensors are at seeing things. CWIS could probably deal with LRASMs since they're so slow.

A missile travelling at mach 8 would still take 10 minutes to travel 100 miles. A ship aware of the launch can change direction & move a long way in that time. At mach 8 it's not manoeuvring to any degree or have any seeking due to the plasma layer around.
Zircon has only been used on stationary land targets, it has never hit a moving maritime target.

My guess with the anti-ship missile's ability to avoid jamming would be to simply turn off active radar when first detecting a jamming signal.
That would enable the missile to continue on its trajectory without interference. There are several other ways of achieving the same result, but turning off active radar would be the easiest in my opinion, as an ex RAN 'greenie'.
I definitely WOULDN'T want to be on a ship in today's Navy. They're getting close to obsolete.

It's not even an Indian weapon, it's basically a Russian missle. Bramos is all Russian engineering and indian financial support
Early Brahmos was mostly Russian, current brahmos is 75% indian, The avionics, fire control system, entire MCP (mobile command post), first stage of solid propellent, almost entire electronic systems and subsystems are indian (which gives brahmos incredible CEP- generations better than oniks), radar reciever and communication systems, only the current ramjet is made by NPO Mahinostroyenia, which is now replaced by indian ramjet which is 60% more fuel effecient and will be used in Brahmos NG. Also, it was india who was able to integrate the missile with aircrafts, something Russians could not do with Oniks, and now considering buying air launch brahmos from India, talk about "Russian engineering".. LOL :D

Why would you send out a bomber to launch an anti-ship missile? That seems needlessly risky. If, in the 21st century, you're sending out a bomber to attack naval targets at sea, just use low-yield tactical nukes and wipe out the entire fleet that's coming at you with one bomb. Why risk the bomber to take out just one ship in a fleet with one bomb?

The whole NSM-Moskva thing... unless you are privy to secret information that you normally don't divulge -- this information seems to be very wrong, calling in to question all the other statements in the video.
The relationship between Russia, India, and The PRC fascinates me. I would think India would be hesitant to work with Russia on projects like the Bramos simply because that would give the PLA access to this data.
The alternative is not having anything like Bramos AT ALL. It's not like any western country would help them to build a ballistic missile.

@@tonykriss1594Im pretty sure Western countries would have no issue working with India since it's seen as a counter to the PRC. Japan, for example, is trying to promote itself as India's ally in the East Asian region to counter PRC dominance.
Also, If India can land a spacecraft on the moon, I don't think its impossible for them to develop their own weapons without outside support. Where as Russia is way too close with the CCP, which allows the PRC to obtain weapons like the Bramos, that could be used against India. Just doesn't make sense to me.

Thus Russia gets 49% royalties on all Brahmos sales made. However, since then the Russian components have been replaced with Indian components including the ramjet. Thus, many Indian missiles now have ramjet engines

Clarification - Brahmos was developed from the Oniks but the Brahmos entity was created by both Russia and India since 2001 (The person that saw its silver lining was none other than APJ Abdul Kalam that created Indias ICBM programmes and sat launch programmes)
India took the Brahmos - from Mach 2.8 to Mach 3.2,made it lighter,made it skim lower,included a 90 degree deep dive in final phase,gave it stealth coating,improved the seeker,included INS (indian gps link)
Thereafter took it a step further by making the NG version (new generation) which can be air launched because its lighter
Now they have increased the range to 800km,updated its software to do S manevoures during the terminal phase and made it even faster now its touching Mach 3.5
Just recently India "accidentally shot" one into Pakistan without a warhead and the Chinese s400 copy the HQ9 Radar that the Paki`s used could not detect it :oops:

wait, so you included Brahmos but not Japan's supersonic ASM-3? ASM-3 also has same top speed (Mach 3) and range (at least in air-launced version) as Brahmos and the Chinese YJ-12 but unlike Brahmos or YJ-12, it is compact enough that F-2 (Japan's slightly enlarged F-16) can carry like 3 while for Brahmos massive Su-30 Flanker can carry only one in the belly ad the YJ-12 need the Xian H-6 bomber
Dude your statement claiming undetectablity is simply false. Not all wavelengths and radars are in the x band. WW2 radar can detect the f-35 why? If was not even designed to evade that wavelength.
The normal search radars will have no trouble with seeing the return on the longer wavelength radars. Just getting a firing solution is more difficult.
I just don't think LRASM is that good.

While I love advanced missile systems like LRASM, so much trust in too few failed in Ukraine. I hate it but I have to quote Stalin here "“Quantity has a quality all its own.” NATO must keep its production capacity to produce massive amount of stupid weapons like a moron sea skimming missile which can do Mach 4 which is cheap to produce, just in case.

The LRASM is absolutely NOT VLS capable. There was an attempt to make them VLS capable in the development phase but it was cancelled.
The fundamental problem is, its physically too big to fit inside existing VLS tubes.
On 17 September 2013, Lockheed launched an LRASM Boosted Test Vehicle (BTV) from a Mk 41 VLS canister. The company-funded test showed the LRASM, fitted with the Mk 114 rocket motor from the RUM-139 VL-ASROC, could ignite and penetrate the canister cover and perform a guided flight profile.
Brahmos is overrated. US Navy has been practicing against supersonic decoys for many years and has no trouble against them. What kills it for me is that it costs more than 3 times as a single LRASM as per recent Indian buys.
The GQM-163 Coyote is a good example, as fast but smaller and flies lower
Smaller means shorter range, so how do you get into a position to fire them before the enemy obliterates your missile truck?
There's no superweapon. India's own Barak 8 has shot down Brahmos. But it’s still viable as most threats India face don't have the capabilities of the US Navy. Furthermore, it has an airlaunched version, so getting spare parts for them is easy.

Nice vid on the Anti ship missiles but I have my doubts about stealth technology. Nothing is a 100% undectable. I remember folks saying that the F-117 Stealth Fighter (Nighthawk) was invisable to radar!
It's not meant to make the missile undetectable. It's meant give the target as little warning as possible before impact. They are going to see it eventually but when they do you want the missile to be so close that they don't have time to react.
The stealth missiles the French and British sent are regularly shot down by systems such as the Pansir. Only the return on the x band is lower.
Lots of assumptions on this video.
