I bought a '61 Biscayne off of a car lot in 1971 that someone had put a truck drive train in. It had a 235 motor and a 4 speed tranny with the granny 1st gear. The shifter was higher than the dash board! Hilarious! But she could climb trees!

@jeffwier696 , I love my 61. It's been my daily driver for quite a while.
Factory 283 with power glide still in it. It's a perfect daily to me, plus the trips I take in it. (Which I'm on one right now). I'll put 500 miles on it the next 2 days.
The 64 was a 6 cylinder, 3 speed on the column. It's now a 305 with the 3 on the tree.

Yea man, they are ugly. But they haven’t had to go to the dealership for a software update.
