But he didn't subscribe himself to Fascism (Although it remain debatable whether he favors Nazism) but the fact is his Party the National Socialist was a "Left leaning" Party in contrast to it's German soundlike. Well do you know that Aguinaldo's running mate for Vice Presidency, Raymundo Melliza is Communist? While Senator Vicente Sotto (the only candidate from this Party won) is strong Socialist.
One of the reasons why Aguinaldo and the Party positioned themselves with Japan, because of their Anti-American sentiment. Remember this was 1935 and they have no idea that World War II led by Axis Powers will happen. They only think that it's better to ally with Japan a fellow Asian that will insure Philippine Independence than being tied by Americans.
