I have enjoyed your videos for many years. As a qualified car mechanic, I am very interested in watching and learning from you. I know that Land Rover isn't the most reliable vehicle in the world, but it is lovely to drive. Greetings from the UK!
Always enjoyed watching these videos. Im 28 from the Fiji Islands, tackling various repairs for friends (3 LR4s) and for my LR3 which I recently purchased. Doing complete suspension bushings and ball joints on 1 this week along with timming and fuel pump belts on 2 LR4 SDV6, 3 6HP services (ordered everything new from ZF) and an oil pump on one of the SDV6 engines. I was scared until i came across your videos and I am ready to tackle all the repairs head on! Im greatful for you sharing your knowledge with us all! Appreciate all you do for us!
There are so many rubbish quality parts nowadays with track rod ends using cheap plastic bushings instead of copper or bronze. Brilliant video as always
Great video as usual to start a Sunday. On the lamps the "K" value is just the colour temperature so the new lamps you put in were a whiter or more towards daylight colour. If you want a more powerful lamp you look at the Lumen output figure but it gets to a point where reflector design is the limiting factor and it may not meet regulations and cause on coming drivers a problem. Here in the UK regulations are still based on lamp wattage not Lumen output so with LED's and Xenon (Discharge) lamps it's a "free for all" and driving at night is pretty unpleasant...
6300K is on the "blue" side of daylight and the only reason they make them like that is marketing, it does nothing to improve visibility, just the opposite actually. I'd stick with 5000k max.
It’s my favourite thing to do on a Sunday, Christian and Vera video and a cupppa , I love your energy and creativity so much, behind every good man there’s a great woman in a Land Rover
Your not the only one who forgets to tighten bolts. Changed the discs on my discovery 1 and went for a 40 km drive and as I got home I had a thought going through the grey matter."did I tighten the wheel nuts". guess what,I hadn't. That was a close one.😁
@ 3:01, Christian has leant the golden rule, happy wife happy life however we all know that Christian tells it how it is, my must watch Sunday entertainment. 😂
Talking about Fords, my 20 year old transit connect 1.8d has the same coolant in it since it left the factory, never been topped up and its still pink. Your sons BMX skills are amazing🙏🙏
Always a pleasure watching your videos. You both should be so proud, one son, an expert forger / fabricator, and the other one, a world-class BMX rider.
My Sunday fix of LR Time done. Very good idea of Robin's to make the lifting mechanism for the tent. As usual you both make me laugh...Thank you so much Vera and Christian
Thanks guys, great fun as always. Glad to see Philip didn't need Vera's 'hospital bed' this time. Never forget the fall he had in America and your dramatic video production would have made Stephen Spielberg proud! 🤕👍
I had a very similar problem with my 2010 RR Sport. Nothing was obviously loose or worn out. We replaced everything we could think of, but the intermittent Clunking noise would not disappear. Then about a year ago the vehicle was due for an MOT and there was a very slight movement in the front left wheel bearing, so we replaced both the left and right wheel bearings. No more Clunking ever since then! I’m so relieved but also very annoyed at all the money I have spent on changing all the bushes and joints that weren’t the problem
Interesting video 👍 Those Osram headlights are excellent - but the blue ones are bright, but not so good in the wet. I have the Osram Night Breaker ones in mine, very bright and better in the wet than the blue ones - they are up to 200% brighter, 250m reach and 20% whiter that standard. I like them. 👍
Regional tool names are quite interesting. In Ayrshire we call adjustable spanners “ shifters “ iv not heard monkey wrench round here that often but when i have it has been in reference to a plumbers stilson Great video as usual guys 👍🏻
Thank you for showing the BMX content it's been a long time since I had a chance to take out my BMX Bastille video with your son made me realize I missed it thank you the coolest people on RUclips and I like to say this everybody watch this channel that are LR Time 💯 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I have the same clunk and have replaced inner and outer tie rod. Have the same parts ready to replace upper control arms at 306,000km so excellent to see this video
Another great video , better than what is on the TV ! I don't have a Land Rover and don't think i would get one, i am probably more of a Toyota man, but great to watch you both ,Top quality banter workmanship and look forward to the next video. I do hope you look after your Ride on mower as well as your land Rovers!
The thing is, I am not driving that mover, so no complaining on my part, meaning this mover gets used until it breaks, like a Toyota. Which happens every 5 years or so. 👍😀
It is importantly to use good quality bulbs. Twice now I have had a problem on my automatic D3 on which both the side brake light bulb filaments have blown. This meant that when the side/main lights are switched on that the middle, upper rear door, brake light strip will illuminate even though the brakes are not applied. But more seriously, the automatic gearbox will not up-shift to a higher gear because the vehicle thinks that the brakes are being applied, therefore it should not try to upshift. Replacing both the (upper) tail/brake light bulbs for new ones cures the problem. However, unless you use a quality brand such as Osram, they will both blow again within two years. If one blows there is no problem with the gears up-shifting. As soon as the car will not automatically gear up-shift when the side/main lights are switched on, you will know that both side brake light bulbs have blown. Always use a good brand of bulb to avoid this problem.
Lot's of Sunday fun watching you guys do a fantastic job again! I have a dilemma right now I need to replace brake lines on a Mercedes and I don't have a clue 😭
Great video Vera and Christian, so interesting to watch mechanics at work and two very talented sons!, been a Landrover user for years and yes there are problems, I have 2 Range Rover Sport at the moment a 2014 with 34k miles and immaculate and a 2018 and love them, previously we had 2 Velars 2.0L mild hybrids whilst a nice car the engines were appalling and we got rid after 9 months, my niece also had one but the engine died on Friday so I looked up online the 1000’s of people who have issues with the ingenium engines this looks like it’s going to develop into another issue like the 2.7 in the D3 has been.
All JLR front suspension and wheel components are designed to withstand striking a curb at 40mph and not break ,, this was introduced to follow the Ford Transit van specifications Discovered this on Harry’s Garage video when he took the wheels off his project 8 F-Type Jag and could not understand why a sports cars wheels weighed so much
You know, right, that the K-rating (i.e. Kelvin) of the bulbs has nothing to do with the ability of the bulbs to throw light down the road (i.e. lumens). The K-rating is a measurement of the colour of the light produced, with 6200K being a wee bit bluer than 6000K. What I have read in the past is that most bulbs produce the highest lumens at around 4500-5000K with a reduction in lumens as you go more yellow (towards 3000K) or more blue/purple (towards 7000K). In other words, its lumens that you are after if you want better lights.
You guys are amazing. I just cant get my self into LR as much as i wanted for ages especially here in states only luck i had here MB ml porcshe cayenne wanted to venture out lr4 disc 5 but just fou d a4 allroad so decisions decisions
Guten morgen.great content this week(as expected) a monkey wrench,I haven't heard of one in a long time.philip is becoming very professional.you should be very proud😊😊😊😊
Just been announced from Range Rover a recall for all of North America regarding the models that require the front suspension upper Knuckle joint to be replaced due to it Cracking you may have had something to do with with out knowing ???
Those spanners are called "shifters", as you can shift the size. A monkey wrench is the self gripping pipe wrench used by plumbers who are not usually engineers commonly called a set of Stilsons in the UK after the popular brand. But do you know the difference between a metric and imperial adjustable spanner? The thumb screw to shift the size is left hand thread on one but right hand thread on the other and that's why I always end up shifting it the wrong way and then have to go back again. I try and keep all mine together as the same but I still do it wrong in use.
Don't plumbers use water pump pliers ? Stillsons would be in pipe fitter territory ? All topical as I've been idly pondering lately on when Mole lost their grip on their patent.
It's fabulous seeing Philipp doing all those amazing things on his bike
I have enjoyed your videos for many years. As a qualified car mechanic, I am very interested in watching and learning from you. I know that Land Rover isn't the most reliable vehicle in the world, but it is lovely to drive. Greetings from the UK!

Fantastic content on a Sunday morning, always starting the day with a smile.
Never lose your humor as it’s one of a kind!!
And now for our new channel, “Landrover Marriage Guidance Program”! 😂😂
That hoist modification is genius. I’ll do that for my hoist too.
👌👍🙋♀️
Christian after watching so many of your videos I've come to the conclusion you need a "Oh my God !!" jar for Vera 😁😁
There are so many rubbish quality parts nowadays with track rod ends using cheap plastic bushings instead of copper or bronze. Brilliant video as always

Christian, please remember that Vera is always right ✅️. 😅😂. Another excellent video from you guys. Stay safe. See you next Sunday.
Alignment? - Vera-fied! 😁
Oh! So smart. Not verifying data and measurements, but Verafying it.
Cheers,
Jacques
Another great video. I just love your humor together and Phillip is crazy talented, wow!
I loved the way you “Vera”fied the wheel alignment!
Robin has an elegant solution...again!
At least the nut stayed on the bolt, so no problem 😂 Great solution to roof box removal and installation.
Great Improvements on the BMX Philipp keep it up .Great
Wow, Philip is the master of BMX. Would love to see Christian on the BMX and Philip repair a Land Rover.......😎
My Sunday evening is complete. ❤

I’m sat watching this in my work’s Ford Ranger. Whenever you start the engine, the dashboard says ‘Built tough’. Gives me a little chuckle.
Wow your youngest is amazing on and off two wheels 👏👏👏👏👏👍 Has Vera stopped reminding you of those loose bolts yet? 🤣🤣
Well, at least 2 of your 3 boys got skills. Christian is kinda skilled, he just has a few screws or bolts loose🤣
I had a very similar problem with my 2010 RR Sport. Nothing was obviously loose or worn out.

I look forward to the next video.
Amazing vid. The BMX footage at the end was great. I was doing light bulbs on my car too lol.

Christian it's very Important to tighten your nuts! 🤗 Reminds me of a pair brake calipers I did once.. Ooops
