    If you buy oil filters from Toyota the gaskets come pre lubed from factory so majority of us just swap and install. But its preference if you wanna lube the gaskets again.

      Good to know! It’s just common practice I’ve been taught and doing ever since lol but thanks for the heads up! 🤙🏼

    Hey brother get the oil filter draining tool to drain the oil from the filter so no need the plastic tube to drain. Also please change the metal filter tube in the metal filter with the oem tube. Also don’t forget to put the black clip on the fumoto valve. It’s just a piece that prevents the lever spring from moving.

      Nice, I didn’t know those existed. I just ordered them. Looks like it’ll definitely help with the mess lol. Yeah I know, I gotta change it and yes I put the clip back. Thanks for the heads up! 🤙🏼

      No, a lot of people lift their 4Runner with kdss lol. Just would advice to get the brackets from Dr.KDSS to help correct the angles for proper geometry.

      but how much of a lift you think I can do with kdss? I was thinking going 22s or even 24s

    You forgot to swap the suction tube from the plastic filter housing into the new metal one since they're different in length, and that is not good for your engine.

    How much was the metal oil filter housing? Might need to go get one of those

    You forgot to switch the inner filter housing from the plastic OEM to the metal housing. This prevents the filter caving in on itself. I’m curious to see the outcome on your next oil change.

      I know, I knew I was forgetting something but that part totally slipped my mind when I was in the process. Will definitely do an update video when I tackle it this weekend. Thanks for the heads up! 🤙🏼

    lol, you weren't suppose to use the hex with a socket to tighten it 🤦 .. did you not RTFM?

    • @fortunestatushawaii
      @fortunestatushawaii  2 месяца назад

      I did RTFM lol, but I had a buddy who installed his Fumoto and end up snapping the whole threaded piece in his oil pan so I figure this would be more torque accurate. But hey, it worked and no problems here 🤷🏻‍♂️😂
