Hey folks, so the intent of this video isn't to be doom and gloom. It's just to show some concern. I am not saying that the game is shutting down soon or that it's done for. I'm just showing that it struggled financially during the anniversary and that there are officially 2 SF licensed units. Showing concern and expressing a bit of worry isn't meant to be doom and gloom. I gave solution ideas in the video as well. I know some took it that way but it wasn't meant to be anything but just factual news.
Looking at the CN and TW roster, there are still about 15 characters that the TW version got that haven't been brought over to the Global version, and over a dozen units on the CN version that haven't been brought over to either of the other two versions, so there is still some stuff they could bring over. In fact, I believe Summer Elena has not even been released on the TW version yet and that we got her first on Global. As for financials, I am not all that surprised. The whole drama with Prez has definitely hurt, seeing as how he brought several other big whales with him when he left. I also think that it may take another month or two for the financials to start catching up. They made some actually decent changes in the last two months, with giving us the free starlights and allowing us to get up to four copies of the new SST units for roughly $20, and I think the financials next month might reflect that. At which point, the question becomes - did they make enough changes quickly enough to save the game, and are they going to continue making these type of changes? For the lifespan, i think the game is gonna last until the first anniversary, but that's going to be the make or break point.
Ya summer Elena was original. That's what I mean, they have to start creating some original designs. Game can really come up with an infinite version of characters if they want to
That 40k figure is the number of downloads not the difference in financials I don’t really know if we should use terms like “struggling financially” as we don’t know what internal targets and goals they have. It’s not making as much money as before sure but for the last few months it’s been consistently pulling 1.2-1.4 million combined across all versions. If you track the last few months it’s actually been hovering around the same income. People might take this video the wrong way, but the reality is there hasn’t been a huge decline the numbers are not dropping rapidly
Being in an IT business and comparing any number of monthly revenues especially when there are licensing costs, that's not a good number. Those are numbers small business do not large IP's if you take a look at any of the bigger IP idle games, they are still making a big impact. The issue is these numbers are for half Anni. They shouldn't be hovering around the same amount. It should have been much higher.

The reason I say that is the half ani crossed over 2 revenue periods (sure only by a few days but a lot of spenders go hard day one so would have been in previous months revenue totals) With regards to revenue being higher in general during half ani, sadly we have entered self fulfilling prophecy territory where people have been told/heard for months “you might want to be careful, we don’t know how long this will last” so they are not spending and continue to not spend. The spending is coming from players who don’t have that fear of shutdown constantly in their thoughts. So I’d actually expect revenue to hover around the same totals with no real upturn due to this. What would be a worrying trend is if we suddenly started to see huge drops as that would indicate the people who were not constantly thinking the game was going to close had either quit or the mindset had started to creep in to their minds and they went f2p.

It's funny, you say Capcom could bring in other IPs, but they could also just do actually more SF characters. For example, why not SF6? Cross promotion with their current console roster would be great to potentially bring in current gen console gamers. Even doing cross promotion between the two, which I expected, but never saw. I go back and forth on this game a lot, and Balrog is the character I've waited from the very beginning (there's also an alternate (fashion?) Balrog). I just hope it at least makes it to the one year Anni.
If you want to see the roster of fashion/trendy characters then all you need to do is look at the street art duel event poster. It has them all. You mentioned them all apart from fashion Dhalsim.

you should take what you see as public information about money made with a grain of salt. what you see vs what they see is very off on its reporting. apparently the game is doing very well for their standards with new players coming in and returning ones as well.
3 to 4 months after the last fighter its closing down, they bought it on themselves. Hugo doesnt work right and deejay fighting spirit lvl 30 doesnt work i tried boosting effect accuracy with armour energy and rose assistant and still nothing these little things as well as there stupid greed has killed this game hope how ever managed this never gets to make another game again

It would be super if they added characters like karin, oro, gil( now i would pay $100 for this because a gil and bison team would make you unbeatable) , q (who i feel would be sick) r. Mika maybe get an snk collab and get Terry bogard, rugal, ultra rugal, geese Howard, maybe add haggar, maki, birdie, sodom megaman, zero, cyber akuma. Possibly a marvel crossover or a tekken crossover.
Well, I'll be enjoying my SSS Akuma for as long as I can I think there are like a semester worthy of Street Fighter IV characters (mainly costume variations) but honestly if they don't add another licence like SFV or 6 I don't think I stay much longer, those greek gods in CN ruin the vibe of the game for me
tbh, they'll likely just reuse the units and change the typing/skills. Yes, there is a chun-li.. but what if she was fire element and you could use her with a fire team and get a higher elemental boost. Ask dokkan how many base gokus they have in the game xD

After all these clowns were able to "kill" a game like Princess Connect in global, a game that is still gaining millions in japan... I'm still playing this cause I love street fighter ip, but thanks to you I ahve also started to play omniheroes so I'm "ready" to move to another game if the things go "south"...

This is a hot mess. It's inconceivable that they're not able to get more characters from THE STREET FIGHTER FRANCHISE. Utterly stupid. It's bizarre that collabs make their way into a SF game, but not SF characters. I hate Tekken. I just wanted SF characters that made sense. Sadly they mismanaged the game to the ground -- I've played other gacha games that had bafflingly stupid decisions, but lasted way longer. It's doomed, then. How many stupid costumes can they pull out? Sorry about the rant, I'm pretty bummed by this

You know I've had my fair share of complaints about the game. Whether it is the bugs, sloppy translations, lack of new f2p units, and still no pity system. I think it's good to tell people to spend responsibly, and rake them over the coals for stupid decisions like the original release of Chaotic Starlight, but I dislike straight up doomer content.

The way i see them saving the game is by adding NFT content. Start with special units that can be purchased as an NFT and brought into the game. If they did that, I'd personally put up a couple hundred to start. The blueprint I'd follow is from Marvel. They currently use comic books. I don't see why Capcom which has comics would be opposed to generating more wealth. They have a rarity system that follows this format. COMMON - Classic Cover UNCOMMON - Vintage Variant RARE - Hero Variant ULTRA RARE - Vibranium Variant SECRET RARE - True Believer Variant Right now I'm getting Google points if i spend a dollar here or there, but i never even use those points. Once this game goes, I'm personally not just hopping to something else. That's not how this works. It may be 4yrs before i get on something else especially if I'm about to just lose my entire investment. People don't just buy the next shiny thing, not if they're getting shafted.
Yes I do know what an NFT is. There's a big reason why they are completely worthless now. Even with the attempted projects of adding them into digital games to try and make them more than a worthless image on the blockchain. I play this game with EOS on my mind. The game is beautiful Devs are too greedy, all the effort is put in one punch man. I will sink with this ship.
