In this video I discuss how to assess the downside risk of a stock. All stocks have the potential to underperform our expectations and we need to be able to calculate the size of a potential loss, and the chance that it will occur.

Great video Hamish... I've always felt 'confirmation bias' is the biggest impediment to successful investing for many. As example 1, just look at comments from Tesla Shorts & Tesla Super-bulls. They're both so buried in 'confirmation bias' on both ends they refuse to acknowledge anything else. Thanks for the quality content! Cheers...

I really enjoy all the hype around Tesla right now because I hear both sides from investors, which helps me be more critical in my analysis of stocks. Thanks for the video! :)

Spot-on Hamish. One of the things that worry me about the long term health of a company relate to dividends paid out. I see some companies that pay out more in dividends that what they earn. Big Red Flag. People may have purchased such shares on the way up after hearing positive news about them only to be burnt later on. Don't mention the T word, Aussie might be listening :)

Do you think THO is a good company, considering that, it has high level of debt (according to my personal analysis, which could be wrong)? Do you THO down risk is high or low?
