My personal library is enormous I've been collecting for many decades. I'm 72...& almost retired. (In my 84 year old mountain home) I'll have to check out my design section for my French decor books... again... and see if I can find the connection other than the adorable "chattes".

Hello holly I like her presentation and hope she did by herself as she says. I notice there are many items on the furniture pieces which make it difficult for other to appropriate the beauty of her old ( classic/original) pieces. It’s her house and she decors as she pleases and it’s great for her!

The wood behind the fire place is actually pallet boards. I tore pallets apart and just nailed them up on the sheetrock. The wall in the dining room is the same. It is a really easy project and I got all my pallets for free so it didn’t cost anything to do.

Pretty, cozy shabby chic home , but I'd certainly not want to have to dust and clean it!.I think a home should be pretty - but also practical to live comfortably in.

Love DIY on a budget. My favorite things are repurposed items. Love your sliding shutters. Years ago I had a workman build indoor working shutters and an indoor window box for a casual room we were doing. They were unstained raw edged wood. I think my favorite item if yours is the range hood and I also loved the headboard you built. I have a very similar dressing table to yours. Mine is solid cherry and guess who is dying to paint it? I have Harrison Fisher prints all over my bedroom and bath. I WANT your linen closet!
