I grew up in a split level (as we call it in SW VA). We had an attic and basement too, making five total levels.My grandmother built it. It is the MOST easy to live in type of home. I love your use of antiques. My home had many antiques too but was a much more sophisticated style. Our fireplace was stone and unique. The kitchen was tiny, the dining room 14 by14 with antique beams in the ceiling. My mom hung a 5' long antique shelf there and hung her collection of brass scales and kitchen implements, it looked fantastic! Many times I dream I inherited the home and think of my more country and casual style there. Your bunk room is awesome! My home was built with black/white octagonal tiles on two of the bath floors and two pine paneled rooms which painted out beautifully. In one bedroom, painted a light putty color, the pine knots bled through giving a super appearance. My parents collected antiques, jewelry and clocks. At one time I counted 38 antique clocks.Wish you had my yarn winder and spinning wheel as they would look so good in your home. My father used an old wooden picnic table set to refinish furn./work on clocks. It was trash. My sisterinlaw took it and stained the top, very worn, and painted the legs. It looked too good to sell so she still has it. Thank you for a great tour, I loved it and obviously it brought back memories..

I really like the country/farmhouse look for the relaxed feel and cleaver use of things. I have to admit I am tired of so much white, so it was nice to see color used along with unpainted wood for a change….very nice..many talents on display. 👍💕

It has been decorated so beautifully; it has a very warm and inviting feel. Some of the homes I've seen tend to be a little over done in my opinion, but this couple have the perfect balance, and they're both very creative ❤❤

OMG, starting off with that chicken house. It's so adorable. It looks like a miniture building from a cute old town. The split door too. The chickens are so lucky to live there. Your 6.00 porch door is AMAZING!!! The bathroom turned out really cute. I especially love the sink and the antique medicine cabinet. The horseshoe addition is a really nice touch that is a nice way to honor your husbands family. The Mother's Day cabinet gift is stunning. I love cabinets like that. The bunk beds are so fun. I would have loved something like that when I was young. Thank you for sharing your home with us. It seems so peaceful there with the open fields and the large yard.
Her cottage house is beautiful and her decors are consistent with her( their styles) & the amount of children they have. It’s also nice that she gave her husband credits by what he created. I just want to point out that she has a soft-tone voice and she doesn’t sound pretentious which is a great quality because we the audiences may not/or are not able to have a house or live in an area as her but we can learn to decorate and admire her’s.
