Oculus is in my top 5 absolutely favorite horror movies ever made. The editing is mind-blowing, the acting is top notch, the story telling is plain and simple yet brilliant. This was, is and probably will always be a 10 out of 10 for me.
New to the channel. I love how you do the movie proprietary stuff using the "looking through a mesh screen" effect so I still feel in the movie and get to hear/see your reaction!!
Hey new friend, thanks for dropping in! I especially appreciate what you said about the mesh screen thing, because that's something I just started doing in the last few videos and I was wondering what people thought! I like to make my reactions longer, so people who haven't seen a movie can follow along, and it's hard to get RUclips to accept a video when it's as long as I do them. The mesh screen helps satisfy their copyright concerns. So thank you for the feedback! I got plenty of horror movies on the channel if that is your thing, and feel free to let me know if there's anything you want to see!
@@mikewatchesstuff For example: Night of the Comet (Zombie/Comedy) - 1984; Gone with the Wind - 1939; Shop Around the Corner - 1940 (Christmas movie); Little Shop of Horrors (Steve Martin/Rick Moranis)- 1986; Risky Business (Tom Cruise/Rebecca De Mornay) - 1983. The possibilities are endless!
I am so mean, hahahaha. You said you weren't ready for jump scares, Inlaughed and said, "Just wait hahahaha". This movie does jump scare right. They are not cheap jump scares like in The Nun
When i was editing this video, I realized how much I had my dang hands over my mouth in this. I need to try to break that habit, but at the same time, this movie just got under my skin and gave me a constant feeling of dread!

The earliest Flanagan work I've seen is Absentia (2011), and it is super underrated. I recommend it.
Well good, because that's another one I haven't seen!
Absentia is such a great movie
Yes, more Flanagan! I absolutely love this film.
I love how the time is irrelevant. Just like on haunting of Hill house. So amazing.

Fun fact you can spot the oculus mirror in Hill House
I saw this before Flanagan became well known and was really impressed by it. Its a scary one! And very sad also
The ending was heartbreaking
This is a great horror mystery movie.
Next Flanagan movie from you should be HUSH
