Hey all! I like horror movies... And I GUESS I like other things too. This is my new channel for movie reactions, I figured I'd stop confusing people with a big messy mix of music and film reactions. Make yourself at home! My main channel is @Yeedeed
Terrifier 2 (2022) Horror Reaction
Hey All! We're back with another gorefest, and this time I'm going into this one having met the real Art the Clown, Mr. David Howard Thornton himself! So, with the first movie I'll be straight-up honest. It was just okay. I rated it a 5/10. This sequel was an improvement over the first for sure. Although, the main strength in this series is the unbelievably large amounts of gore and violence. Everything else doesn't need to be as good if it's delivering the meat and potatoes to the horror fans. Which it definitely is.

Hey All! Well this was....gross. It was one of the goriest slashers I've ever seen. Even though slashers aren't my favorite subgenre of horror, I get why everyone is such a fan of Art the Clown. Hey Guys! This is the first time I've reacted to a zombie/infected film, even though it's one of my favorite sub-genres of horror. I was NOT disappointed. A fresh take on a dying subgenre (pun intended). It literally was shot in one-take! I said otherwise in the intro, but after listening to director David Moreau's interview on Next Best Picture podcast, he confirmed it was one take, and some o...

Hey All! This awesome movie caught me off-guard. I wasn't expecting the supernatural angle thinking it was a serial killer kinda movie. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Hey All! I had my friend Luis sit in on this one since I've seen this in the theater. If you've seen any of my horror reactions, you know that I prefer supernatural horror to slasher-type horror, but despite that I still find this to be one of the best horror movies that has come out in recent years. Ti West found a way to add depth and social commentary into a genre that doesn't usually have t...

Hey Guys! This was a super ambitious horror movie. At times I got lost in the logic, but have no doubt, this was a good movie. I find myself drawn to it for some reason. Maybe it's the feeling of nostalgia it gives me, as this is from the era when I first began seeing horror movies. Or maybe it's because it's from the mind of one of the greatest masters of horror this planet has ever seen. This...

Hey Guys! This movie was so damn good. One of the best horror movies of 2024, hands down. This one scared the crap out of me, and felt like a horror movie set in the 1800's. The house which hosts most of the film feels like a stage, giving this movie a stage-acted kind of feel as well. Watch it! I will admit the crazy kills are creative and deliberately overkill! 😜😅 With that said, i think it's decent and worth one watch for the thrills!
The Midnight did the soundtrack, and they are an incredible synthwave group. They have the soundtrack here on RUclips, and I listen to it all of the time.
Such a treat to get two uploads from you today. Happy Halloween!
The emoji with the saw illustration during "that part" was a nice touch 😆
Btw, All Hollow's Eve 2 is completely unrelated. It doesn't feature Art at all. I would skip it forever lol
Good, I'm totally skipping then! I recorded a reaction to All Hallow's Eve, but honestly I just didn't enjoy most of that movie so I'm not going to bother to edit and upload it.
Didn't think I'd see you reacting to this lol I'm excited to watch this. Parts 2 and 3 are so freaking good!
@@paulinekeown2472 I've been sitting on this reaction for a LONG time! I'll be uploading part 2 soon (today), and I saw part 3 in theaters right after recording the part 2 reaction! Part 3 was good, but I'm not sure if I liked part 2 more
@@mikewatchesstuff Part 2 was so epic. I love part 3 a lot, but part 2 just has something special about it.
Yes I feel the same way! For a specific reason, which I'll explain in the part 2 reaction. I'll just say for now I got to meed David Howard Thornton and he's the nicest dude!
People have criticized Broderick for seeming young in this, but of course he was older and more mature than the character he was portraying. A masterpiece of a movie.
If you think about it, this is the only movie that's a flawless adaptation of the book.
Many of those women are stolen and sex trafficked by bikers! I dig enoug women needs to go to music festivals in groups. These are sites where bikers go to steal Indigenous women.
Bill Clinton is in the picture because the movie takes place in the early to mid 90's
Yes, but the question is why director Oz Perkins placed it in deliberate spots recurringly. There's a thread of people on reddit discussing their opinions on what that's a metaphor of, but I'd be interested in hearing from Oz himself what this symbolizes.
30:43 -- We can't see her face because yours is blocking it. And you've edited this video, huh? Interesting, haha! Oh, well ...
I prefer black and white. Don't like colorized old movies
I really appreciated watching this. The way you watch it, and the movie itself reminds me of a bygone era when directors/writers didn't assume the audience was stupid and needed everything spelled out; indeed as the viewer you fill in most of the gaps yourself.
They're following the smell, not the tire tracks. The Wolfen don't have a human form. Eddie was quite clear they're a different species - related to wolves.
9:46 -- I don't think filmmaker Osgood Perkins or the director of photography invented something new with this specific shot, where actors' faces are centered in the frame. This technique was previously used for the first time in the 1985 anti-war film "Come and See," directed by Russian filmmaker Elem Klimov. I'm pretty sure they drew inspiration from that movie. "Come and See" might be available on RUclips, but be warned ... it's quite dark, shocking, and hard to watch, though very artistic, strange, and creative. 12:02 -- I think Lee might be a bit autistic and also suffers from anthropophobia, feeling anxious in any crowd, or scopophobia, a social anxiety disorder. Interestingly, they might not feel anxious in a crowd where no one knows them. 17:14 -- I thought about that many times, and I don't know why, but here is the answer: maggots can appear when a person dies at home, even if the windows are closed, due to flies laying eggs on the body. Flies can enter through small openings, vents, or even unnoticed gaps in windows and doors. The eggs hatch into maggots, which are attracted to decomposing tissue. It's a natural, albeit unsettling, part of the decomposition process ... I only hope that when I die of old age, this never happens to me or to the people who discover my body because it could be not only horrible but traumatizing, and yes, extremely disgusting.
FBI has to be invited onto a reservation, right? They have jurisdiction over crimes committed on federal lands, which often adjoin tribal lands because of National Parks but anything on the reservation is governed by the local tribe as it's own sovereign nation. If an outsider comes onto native land and commits a crime then leaves, the tribal police can't arrest him (unless it's a felony) if they make it off the reservation and outside cops can't investigate crimes that happen on tribal land. So, FYI, most feds are only sent in upon request for certain crimes upon request as far as I understand. As to the disrespect toward indigenous women (and I say this as a Native) isn't about them being indigenous. It's about easy access and getting away with it. Certain kinds of men ( and I say this as a veteran) are attracted to these kinds of jobs (soldiers are more supervised and kept busy but contractors aren't) and they will commit the same atrocities overseas or anywhere they can get away with it. And groups of them with nothing to do but get drunk in their off time are really dangerous. They're attracted to these types of jobs because a) many have trouble and get kicked out of the military or lose their contract and are left with nowhere to go so they do the jobs no one else wants and/or b) they can get away with more out there with little supervision. I don't understand why we don't have interjurisdictional teams of feds/tribal police/and local police at this point to investigate these crimes. We absolutely should.
In our area of Oklahoma, people use dogs for herding but anyone with a herd of cattle has guard donkeys. For stomping coyotes. Not even kidding.
didnt need build up after seeing the boy get shot in the arm by goons.
I love this movie and for me the original 1951 is the best. It is quintessential 1950s sci-fi. One thing I wish they'd do is give it a proper colonization. Carpenter reason for a remake is because he loved the 1951version so much.
This based loosely on a true story. The man who they blamed for the first murder that was arrested in the old man’s house is Leonard Peltier (pronounced “Pale Tear”). Look him up. Peltier was arrested in 76 for the murder of two Federal agents, and in spite of several alibi witnesses was found guilty. He’s been in jail for 48 years. Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa and the 14th Dalai Lama all tried to get clemency for him.
Another underrated and seldom reacted to flick. Loving the content.👍
I think this movie was too short to have this much info crammed into it. You gotta really find the big idea of the movie interesting enough to watch it a few times to really be able to keep up.
Selma Hayek is everyones hall pass. And probably Sofia Veragara
So it's not just me! 😄
Great movie, the director, story, actors and the story. the is a big topic, not only crimes have been committed against natives, governments too. Canada's government sterilizing Indigenous women for decades, then they go speak about women's right
the cop knew those guys at the trailer were flanking them, they were surrounded on all sides, and they warned the guy inside the trailer that FBI was at the front door.
For sure 8 out of 10. I did see it yrs ago, and was glad to see you react to it. About 40 yrs ago in Winnipeg Manitoba, a friend had a Borzoi dog (also called Russian Wolf hound), and way back when, they were bread to hunt Wolves. Anyways, he had to have it put down because it chased down and attacked a teen on a bicycle. (he survived). Sad story, sorry.
Great film! Has it's own eerie vibe and solid story. 👍
This movie is a masterpiece❤
Scott actually survives in the alternate original shot ending..now to me this ending is wierd and doesn't make sense cause the original ending shows scott and Carol Anne s face n shes smiling on her bed laying next to her Aunt Pat and uncle Bruce and Donna and Scott are shown holding eachother on the oppisite side of cat Anne s bed..watch the original ending it's up on RUclips.. and yes bro there are holes .due to budget cut n writers atrike of 1988 that was going on at the time that other movies suffered from in 1988.. and Heather o Rourke died a week before the reshooting was complete..and they finished up to wrap up the final film.. i think its evident that maybe the director wanted a little more done within the story line and more of a climactic good intense well executed ending on bringing Donna and Carol Anne back from the other side rescued and maybe I think he had a much more definitive finale towards the decline and killing ot Kane in which Tangina didn't have to sacrafice herself in order to rescue Carol Anne and Donna. But if u think about it if u recall in the first poltergeist movie originally Tangina was going to walk into the light with the rope in order to get Carol Anne back from the other realm but at the last minute Diane, Carol Anne s mother Said what are you doing ,she wont go to u,and u never done this before and tangina says yes ur right i havent u go then SO yea in the first movie tangina was about to just jump on in to the light to rescue Carol Anne.. so in this final 3rd film she just Basically does what she was originally going to do in the first movie.. and yes unfortunately that would be sadly the next best thing to do at that last moment due to sadly her parents not there to guide and help her, so Tangina does the ultimate only best thing to do just give herself up and exchange her own life in order to get Carol Anne and Donna back
I never saw this til the reaction and this is amazing film! 👍 Iove the one shot cinematography. I will watch it full later.
Hey my friend, thanks for watching! I strive to make these reaction videos in a way where someone who hasn't seen the movie can follow along. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie!
@@mikewatchesstuff 😎👍
This was definitely my favorite horror movie I've seen this year.
Correction- many, many women had, at least, a basic education at the time (as a matter of fact, throughout history, if you were an educated woman, your value in society increased, and people respected you much more. Think of Tudor princesses learning history and languages). Education was slowly changing from private tutors to the more widely available school system we know today, and girls and young women of lower classes were beginning to have more access. For the older generations, though, like Maud, unless you had money, you couldn’t really afford to do much more than work 24/7. Many women would offer their services as a maid or something of the like in exchange for food and housing. Likely why Maud was so impressed by Florence being as learned as she was. There was, of course, still sexism, just as there is today. For as long as humanity has differences, there will be those that think they’re better. If you look back through history, you’ll see that many of the rights and standards were have today have been forming slowly, but surely, little by little as each generation progresses. Humanity has always moved forward, even if we haven’t always done it quickly haha.
The title of the movie comes from a recruiting campaign slogan "The Marines are looking for a few good men" is a well-known recruiting slogan for the United States Marine Corps, signifying their search for strong, dedicated individuals to join their ranks; the phrase originates from a historical advertisement placed by Captain William Jones in 1779 seeking "a few good men" to enlist in the Continental Marines. It was replaced in 2007 with “The Few, the Proud, the Marines”. ruclips.net/video/YC82SwuDrcE/видео.html
The pros and cons. Pros is the amazing one shot elements. It’s like you’re following these people around and what comes up. The cons is….no character development whatsoever. No story to follow other than they got infected with something.
I agree with ya. Even though none of the characters were likeable, I would've liked to see more character development. I also would have liked to see a deeper more fleshed out story. I gave this one an 8 out of 10, based on the strength of the one-take shot and the atmosphere
@@mikewatchesstuff you should check out The Autopsy of Jane Doe. Really creepy and scary isolated type horror movie.
Great movie! That one was scary as hell. Annnnd unfortunately I've already seen it. But if you want to drop me a list I can parse through and see what I haven't seen and do a reaction for you.
Hi all, just want to leave a correction. In the intro, I said this film was not literally shot in one take. However, director David Moreau confirmed in an interview on Next Best Picture Podcast that it was in fact shot in one take. He said the final take they did was used. A few members of the crew were wearing GoPro's to confirm this.
You said 'I've never been this wasted will wearing the uniform.' Have you ever watched your country getting the $hit bombed out of it every night? Did you ever deploy knowing there was a damn good chance you would just disappear? 47:30 The sub didn't help the survivors of the burning ship because of "The Laconia Incident". The B-24 pilots were given medals instead of being branded war criminals as they should have been. There was a, sort of, code of honour early in the war that the US didn't subscribe to, apparently.
The kid on the bicycle is Anakin Skywalker
Oddity was deliciously original and I really appreciated its interesting vibe.I have written 26 horror stories, and I wished I would have thought of that one:)
At the end phase of the war, they mobilized entire school classes directly in the schools....down to 13 years old school boys who had to defend critical infrastructure like bridges, railstations etc. The Old Ones, acting as officers, were 17 or 18 years old teenagers (often already injured vets) or grandpas according to my grandmothers. The occupation of Germany itself was finally a walk in the park. The adult soldiers were exhausted / broken, i jured & dead, outside of Germany or already imprisoned like my grandpa, who was a war prisoner in Russia for 5 years, after being imprisoned 6 times by the Nazis at home necause he was part of the political opposition. Absolutely nothing can ever justify wars.
My dad took me to see Saving Private Ryan in the theaters but it was sold out. Then the usher told us theres another WW2 film playing in 20 minutes and he said its way better than Saving private ryan. We saw it and so glad we saw in in the theater. Amazing life experience
Another classic. Thanks 👍
This is a real science fiction classic!! I saw it as a kid, and it's been one of my favorites ever since. Great job . Thanks 👍
I can't watch this movie at night.
That's the only time to watch horror movies!
Now that's what I call a HORROR film. Christopher Young did the sound (I had to try 6 times to pause your reaction just right to catch the guys name) Good acting / Excellent sound.
Brilliant movie with 1 flaw. The very last scene. The second movie isn't as good, but not bad either.
Yay first, keep up the fun watches of horror movies!
Thanks for dropping in for the horror movies!
It takes place in 1979 ...
👍 you figured it out
@@JaneDoe-b5v yeah, we got there eventually :) I had missed the beginning where it said 1979 when I saw it in the theater
Found this video when doing some homework for my podcast's discussion on the Entity. Your facial expression to the experiment said a lot and is one of the worst things about this film.
