making a sink template for countertop

I was wondering why you didn’t cut it slightly larger, then I learned there are flush router bits thank you very much sir! Now I know what i’m doing lol

wouldnt it be easier to cut out big whole in your template board and then mark out the boundaries rather than trying to reach sown that little drain hole?
