- Hello friends! Hot first course - no lunch is complete without it! Today we will prepare a delicious soup with millet! Let's call him "Chick"!
For some time now, this soup has become one of the favorite dishes in the diet of the family “Wow, Kitchen”, here are a few reasons for this:
the very first reason, believe me, is a special, rich, excellent taste! After the first plate comes the code word “More refills!!!”
millet is a whole grain product, rich in fiber, minerals and vitamins, so soup with millet will certainly enrich your diet with useful substances that have a beneficial effect on health.
Suitable for various diets, including vegetarian and vegan. In our case, the soup turned out to be far from dietary (since we will cook it with meat):
millet has a low glycemic index - this is important for those who monitor their blood sugar levels.
millet is easy and quick to prepare, which is convenient during times of shortage of free time!
millet welcomes experiments! Feel free to add a variety of vegetables, spices and herbs to the dish - this will give the soup a personal touch, combined with your favorite ingredients.
Let's start preparing the Chick soup:
***(I have a three liter saucepan)
2 turkey thighs
water
***after boiling, remove the foam, cover and cook until the meat is cooked
a few peas of allspice
3 tablespoons of millet (rinse, add cold water, leave in water for 20-30 minutes)
potato
*** to the frying pan:
lard
1 onion
salt (a little)
sugar (pinch)
carrot
***in the meantime, remove the meat from the bones and return the meat to the soup
2 tablespoons red sweet pepper
Bay leaf
ground black pepper
greens (add 1-2 minutes before readiness)
*** Let the soup steep.
