it depends if you wanna stay with the bricasti hardware sound or if you're looking for a realistic room emulations, while the bricasti can also do it but still imparts a little bit of sweetening if you don't like a certain room tone that cinematic room imparts, bricasti works almost on everything but the cinematic rooms is tailored more for people who makes classical music and movies (composers per se).

great comparison. i have both pro versions and both have their unique strengths. CR has a more upfront sound whilst 7H has an enveloping and melting quality. i opted for CR Pro due to the amount of presets and additional controls-primarily the reflection and reverb chorus engines, reverb echo, additional reflection control, the width control is so crazy good, and the crossfeed options.

    Which is the "best" ?...
or which one preserves all the definition of the source? :)
    I think it's the blue
The coloring of the reverb as such is a matter of taste or context. But in any case, if the reverb destroys the signal, it doesn't work.

Fun test! I own both versions (Pro) and I'm still not decided which one is my to go to verb (love the chorus on the CRP for guitars). Here I think the 7th is a bit more musical or fun, but there's a slight slight metallic ringing in the tails. The CRP is more "just there" and more anonymous. Perhaps a bit more realistic, but also a tiny bit more boring. Both are absolutely brilliant though and I guess its all about the use-case. I do love however to work with an algoritmic reverb like CRP.

I’ve got them both, mainly using CR right now and yet to really get stuck into 7H. It’s certainly all contextual. I tend to lean on CR more so for big modern cinematic mixes where clarity is required to avoid too much confusion and blending. 7H is probably more suitable to compositions emulating a natural space where the instruments can ‘sit’ in the room and blend. What do you think?

@@musiklab I've had people tell me it's all in my head, but I noticed a difference between standard and pro for stereo sound to the point I had to buy the pro, despite the price difference (not too bad on sale with some loyalty discounts). It had to do with the early reflections/start of the tail. The pro version sounded more natural and beautiful to me. The additional controls are nice, too, but it was about the sound. It's not like I wanted to spend more money on pro for fun!
As for 7th Heaven Pro - I have it, but it really really makes it sound like you're using a reverb, and it can noticeably change the original sound. Sometimes that's the point. But not usually, for me.
